I was having a problem with content load failing an wrote a short review asking why. The tech guys sent me the solution within 24 hours and their solution resolved the problem! I am shocked that a tech dept responded so quickly and actually CARED! So thank you , tech for replying and solving the glitch. . Smart News is still my favorite news app. ❤️ Highly recommend.

I left a review of this app a few days ago after it completely stopped working for days. It was not loading the content for any of the articles. After numerous attempts to get it to work, I finally deleted the app and left a one-star review. Last night (Saturday, April 13, 2024) I tried installing the app once more. It’s is extremely transparent as to the media sources. It has a chart that shows you the whole spectrum from bright red being extremely conservative to all the way over to the bright blue liberals and everything in between.

I love to read the daily news and the latest on England royalty.

Majority of my top news are from Koreaboo (could care less about Korean entertainment), click-bait sports websites such as the Comeback, Spun and Total Sports News with no option to remove such sites.

I enjoy Smart News because I find a lot of interesting stories that I would otherwise have to check out dozens of different news sources to find. I love Smart News!

Now that they let you set some new sites to receive less postings, it’s a MUCH better product. Now I can downgrade those “news” outlets that spread conspiracy theories and the ones putting horoscopes under the Science tab.

It seems to me this news that I get on. This is mostly democratic and that is not fair. I think the Democratic Party and this whole crap of news people are trying to ruin this country and I believe Donald Trump is the only person that can save this country or we will fallto the devil worshipers of the Democratic Party and we will all be in the fiery pit of the devil

Thank you for being the best news information in the country. It's not fake news, I love it that you guys cover every subject.

Many times too many opinion by authors are injected into the articles changing the facts to opinions only and slanted by the politics of the submitter.

Really good way to keep up with what’s going on, with a nice mix of real news and craziness.

I used to rate this app 5 stars but lately these adds that have to be seen or in constant view while reading a article, it’s ridiculous! It actually makes my eyes sore from them having to adjust. I already have my “advertisements ” turned off and realize that a few ads will get by but constantly shifting the article im reading. I know I have the free app. version and have to put up with ads, but forcing you to have to find where you left off every five seconds or so after the ad is scrolled off

I’ve used Smart News for years now and it is truly a wonderful and concentrated source for my daily news!

Always updated on the latest news, weather, and sports.

I launched this app as it was supposed to be non-partisan. The first half of the page is CNN...who most of the public now realizes is biased....then the New York Times, then Huffington Post. Another liberal media idea gone bad. Deleting app.

I was happy to finally get a news app, but really disappointed with the tons of fake news.

It’s GREAT!! Very up to date and current! Keeps me updated on what is going on in the world with out any of there own spin! Really enjoy it!!

I have used SmartNews for years now and it is a great blend of news stories from many news outlets. However, when I installed the app on my new iPad, I have been getting these full page pop-up ads where the only option is to close down the app and reopen it. I have the same app on my iPad Mini and my Android phone, and don’t get these full page ads with no option to close them other than closing the app and restarting it. In this case I would be willing to pay for the app just to remove these

No other news app I use has full screen pop up ads. SmartNews ads take me to the App Store even when I try to tap on the X in the upper right hand corner. New rule for me with this app is to read the news (and see the embedded ads), but as soon as the full page ad pops up, I close the app and don’t return to it same day.

I’ve used smart news for a long time and very much enjoy the variety of stories from different viewpoints. My only complaints are the pop up ads and recently (within the last month for me) on IOS the app has started crashing randomly.

I love the app, but not so much as to put up with pop up ads. STOP IT.

This app is awesome! Not only does it show me “breaking news”, but it also shows smaller news stories that more than likely aren’t getting the attention they deserve. It also throws in light hearted articles of varies topics. AND it has a tab that shows you news that is specifically around your area. LOVE IT!

The best app to use if you enjoy headlines disappearing right in the middle of reading them. Well done.

The option to “Suggest less news about …” is pretty useless. Kardashians is 9nly one example of the endless stories no matter how many times I try not to have to sift through. In the last couple weeks there is also a move to pop up ads when backing out of a story.

These adds that take over the screen are so annoying. Please stop, or I will.

I get tired of leading headlines some of them are so dumb

I picked all the topics I wanted to follow, the last thing I want is a banner notification for stuff that I don’t; especially since they pop up every 2 minutes while I’m on the phone, which is way too much!

I used to love this app, and I spend a lot of time reading articles, but something changed a few months ago, and now it takes forever for individual articles to load. It used to be lightning fast to open an article, and if it took even a few seconds, I could always jump over to the Smart view, and it would load instantly. Now, many articles just sit and sit, and the little “Loading” wheel spins, and it’s like the days of dial-up. Many of these articles don’t even have a Smart view. What on e
