My dog was barking non-stop inside, I walked in the room, heard hissing noises and she was standing about 6 feet away. Captured the snake, it looked like a rattlesnake, but then i started to wonder if it bit my dog, I found no bite marks but still panicked. This ap has saved me for over a month now. I have ran into five snakes. The last two were babies in my in-house storage room where my cat stays. She killed them. 😳😳needless to say I am cleaning everything on the floor out. I am afraid they are under a freezer and refrigerator. Glad to know they were water snakes but the others were much larger and outside. My property is sided by two large streams. Thanks for all your help.

Expected immediate results like the plant identifier apps. Instead they send you an email with your results and helpful info. They responded almost immediately, however, and I liked that they used my location to help accurately identify! They’re also open to answer questions which made it feel a little more human!

It’s unsettling to find a snake in your yard. You know most of them are harmless, but it’s great to get confirmation on exactly what it is, how it behaves and what it eats. I’ve used this app several times and always get quick, helpful information.

Seems like an okay service run by real people who are trying to help and create a successful business. But I would prefer it had an as needed option vs a subscription. Way more people have an occasional need to identify a snake as opposed to needing a subscription. But their prices are reasonable, so I suppose I/you can sign up for a monthly when you need it, cancel after and not mind paying again when needed…

This app is wonderful. Found a snake on a Friday night on my back deck. Killed it. Took a picture because my wife was freaking out about what kind it was. Within 10 minutes I had an email confirming what it was and a bunch of information about it. On a Friday night. I’m really impressed.

So I have to initially sign up for a 7 day trial, and then you won’t actually ID The snake unless I give you my email address? That was quickly deleted along with the subscription.

Cannot recommend this app and these people enough! Always swift response with helpful facts about the fun little snake I saw!

I have been using this app for about 2 years now. We moved south 3 years ago. We spent the 1st year terrified of every snake we seen. Then we got snake snap so we could figure out who was friend and who was foe. We now have learned how to live in harmony.

Identified in minutes so worth it! To the devs: consider not doing a free trial I’d have paid$2-5 for a month. The having to get an email part almost made me uninstall, if you can Id in app like PictureThis that’d be awesome

I have sent in a few pictures of snakes we have seen around our house, there are a few that look similar to copperheads. Snake snap and their crew respond quickly with a description and name of the snake in question. Would highly recommend!

So we live in the woods and encounter a lot of snakes. We submitted a photo and in less than two minutes had an answer as to what type of snake we encountered, if it was poisonous, and what it fed on. Awesome, awesome app.

Two degrees in zoology and an ex-herpetologist, I was stumped by a photo posted by a nearby homeowner on Nextdoor neighbor. So I sent the photo to SnakeSnap. Had an accurate identification in a couple of hours. Whoever they are, they’re good.

This is a very cool app, that was still under development when I purchased it. They had to manually identify the snake for me, but did it quickly and with zero hassle. 5 stars and 2 thumbs up.

I wouldn’t assume this is always the case, but the response time was less than an hour. Great service. I imagine they’ll get some more photos from my southwest country house.

Twice this week we have been helped identifying two rattlesnakes in our fenced yard on the Phoenix Mountain Preserve and safely removed to the outer perimeter. Grateful.
