Snopes App Reviews

Snopes is my go-to any time something I’ve seen or read sets off my sense that it is suspicious. I have found them to be reliable, well researched, and unmatched.

So glad that I have a reliable source to deal with all the false internet stories, & now the AI slop. I’m a subscriber, it’s such a valuable resource.

I’ve been reading Snopes for many years, back when it started it checked mostly urban legends. Now it does a fantastic job of covering important breaking news items. I like to read it, so when people tell me “did you hear about…”(the latest outrage) I can say that’s fake and point them to Snopes. Excellent!!

With everything spread like wildfire on social media SNOPES does an in depth on viral posts and gives you the low down

I verify information nearly daily. I’ve lived through Kennedy assassinations, US men on the moon, MLK/RFK assassinations, Watergate, post-Vietnam 🇻🇳 War, Ford, Carter, Reagan, Clinton, two Bushes Obama. Biden and two Trump administrations … at 71 years old SNOPES is like my daily meds and vitamins …modern version of truth lifesavers‼️

Sick of fake news - Get my news here now

Not immediately intuitive but worth the start up ramp.

First this app works beautifully! Very well done. Secondly, but more importantly, Snope’s is the “news” equalizer. I am not “far” anything and I do not want to hear political propaganda from any party. I want to hear the facts, the truth, unvarnished…no spin. Snope’s has made it easy to not have to swim in the sewage of “news with agenda.”

I like this app to cross check things I see on social media. With AI getting larger and more powerful daily I sometimes can’t tell what is real vs satire or outright lies. Be informed.

Great to debunk so much misinformation is invaluable in today’s media environment

I have been visiting snopes.com since what seems like the beginning of the internet and currently subscribe to their newsletter. I love how this app contains what seems like the entire website version. I searched for an article I knew was decades old and sure enough it came up. I appreciate how they fact check everything and I even like the games they have on the app

I like the layout a lot better than the website. Been waiting for this! Thank you!

Thank you Snopes for creating an app for my phone. I’m sure there will be some wrinkles to iron out over the first few days of the launch.

I love this app when something comes up controversial. It’s nice to have someplace. I can get to the truth.

Limited access w/o paid subscription; occasionally replies feel like a ‘noncommittal’ or ambiguity

I paid but still recorded as guest without ability to us Snopes freely
