I have had Solar Alert Basic for years to assist me in my risk management career. Now retired, I have moved to Solar Alert Premium and I wished I had moved much earlier. This app not only provides you data and information but it has links to educate you on the science and technology behind it. I can get focused on a topic and this app satisfies my inquisitive nature on the topic of solar weather and solar events.

If you ever followed, Ed Dames, you’ll want to know when the next Harrington event is going to take place. This is the app to have on your phone! Besides that, you may want to know when the next northern lights may be visible from your location, this is the app to have. And, there are days when you just shouldn’t take a walk because of the increased solar radiation, then this is the app to have! Highly recommended!

The only app that has a collection of reliable sources, that funnels the important info directly to you with the option of getting as nerdy as you like with the science. This information has helped me stay safe during the recent solar events and I can’t recommend them enough.

With a little effort I have learned a great deal about the sun and the effects it has here on earth, and on those who are in space. This app is a must for those who like science and astronomy. Five stars!

Honestly I don’t understand more than 50% of what the app is showing me, but the design and layout are so captivating it doesn’t really matter if the sun explodes or not.

The ability to see the aurora in the southeast coast of Massachusetts is rare. This app provides the ability to know if the aurora might be visible here and we share this with our Whitehorse Beach community. WHAT A BLAST! Thank you to all the scientists at NASA and NOAA you all rock!!!!

It’s great. Only thing that would make it five stars for me is a way to go forward and back in an easy one line list what the history and projected flares are so it’s simple by time and date. I like what’s there but sometimes I just want a simple way to look at things and have a clear outline of what was and what’s ahead

I find it hard to understand all the icons. I wish the navigation was clearer. That’s my biggest issue. Other than that, I like the app.

I’ve been using Solar Alert for over a year now and honestly it’s become one of the most interesting apps on my iPhone. The alerts are usually pretty accurate and it makes me feel calm knowing I can get ready if there’s a solar storm coming. Overall, it’s really good for those of us who like to keep an eye on solar activity and how it can affect us day by day.

The technical support team is fabulous! They worked tirelessly over several days to help resolve my issue. Ultimately the problem was unrelated to Solar Alert but was solved by upgrading my iOS version. They walked me through every step of the process cheerfully. And their English was flawless so they were very comprehensible.

Pretty much the best solar app out there paid for the original yearly, which was cheaper now that they are increasing the price I believe with new things I will probably still buy it to see how good it is but I’ve been using them for over two years now I wouldn’t really count on any other at this time.

I rebooted my phone and iPad. App now works as expected. I have a current premium subscription but after the last update your app will not restore it. Fix it

I enjoy this app, as long as you’re honest and not influenced by the government and tell us the truth facts. Just don’t piss down our back and tell us it’s raining.

Solid reporting and advance warning system for solar threats.

Great tool for weather forecasters as well as emergency managers and preppers. The sun and the flares and solar storms can greatly affect fire, police and EMS radios, 800 mhz , short wave etc. This app is worth every penny for the data and education offered through this app. Graphics are incredible as well. I’ve already referred many colleagues to this app. Keep up the good work.

I’ve been using this app for over a year now and not only is it fast notifications but it teaches you what everything means. The graphics are stunning, the pictures are amazing and the price is very doable

I enjoyed the app however for at least last six months it stopped working as before —I am unable to access whether on Wi-Fi or cellular , from no matter where. It has become useless to me☹️ It never gets bast the initial 2 screens, then advises “ active subscription , finalizing data load ifrom NASA satellites “. Then says your “internet performances is low”?!? From wherever I am. Sigh
