Solar Monitor 3 App Reviews

Solar Monitor was exactly like Solar Monitor 3. The only difference is that it’s $9.99 now to work with iOS11. That’s seriously lame for customers who bought the original. Clearly, I like the product - but show some loyalty to your customers next time. I won’t buy a Solar Monitor 4.

This is a remarkably in-depth app. It is full of numbers and charts that might be useful to someone who works at NASA or launches satellites for a living, but the average person is better off buying one of the $2 apps since it tells you more USEFUL information.

Server not working

App is great but it needs an update to include 193 angstroms filter for the SDO/AIA. Need to see those incoming coronal holes. As of now I have to check other web pages outside the app to see that filter. I bought the app so I could see all my date in one easy place. Sent an email to the developers over a month ago and not even an acknowledgement of receiving and email. Will update review to 5 stars once app is updated.

I’ve used this on my iPad for years. Great app. Recently it stopped updating x-ray flux. Bought what I took to be an update but x-rays still not updated. Just went back to it and they are working! Great! This app has a serious amount of information and may take a little getting used to. Good job.

I have had this App loaded for years it has always been the best. I don’t mind paying for updated versions my philosophy on apps is you get what you pay for.

I absolutely love this app but not real happy about having to pay for it again. I don’t understand why the previous version couldn’t have been updated. If you want to track solar activity, this should be your go-to app!

I’d give 5 stars but not for the fact that is had to be repurchased to download and it’s not especially cheap. Other than that, stellar app. Get it.

Missing a few features. I can pinch a chart to fit it on the screen, but it bounces back when released. It would be nice to have the ability to see some history if available

I think I should dock a star for every time I have to re-purchase it, however! -1 is proportionally kind, as I have had all 3 iterations now. Would you kindly stop it already? Thanks.

I had the SDO app and loved it. The videos were breathtaking. What I miss is the sun spot and CME information and videos. I got a lot data that I don’t need or understand. Maybe the programming is evolving. For $9, I hope so.

Not happy about having to rebuy the app. This version is the same as the last version except this one is not sending push notifications. The reason I purchased the app.

There was a Class X1 solar flare yesterday, 28 October, 2021 and I didn’t get a push notification. It would be nice to know if you’re no longer maintaining your app so I can delete it.
