SonoPhone for Sonos App Reviews

Awesome app that works every time. Don't have to reboot my iPhone every time I update. Don't get ads for additional products I don't need. Seriously I was about to sell my Sonos system until I found this app.

I don’t know how this app just worked right out of the box, but it did. My wife and I were ready to throw her new phone out the window after trying to get the S1 app to recognize our system, which is all legacy Sonos products. After literally hours of frustration, we purchased this app, and WITHIN 5 seconds of opening, it found our devices AND recognized all our preferences. Even device groupings. It’s rare I am blown away by an app, but I am. Literally best $4 I’ve ever spent in my life. T

I don’t know when this came out but it is better than the broke Sonos app when that came out but it’s not better now after they have been fixing the app. That said if you don’t like the new app this is worth a try.

Wish I would have found this app sooner. Night and day difference from the Sonos app. Not only should Sonos hire this guy to fix their app disaster, they should pay him for helping save their business.

I love the app. Fewer taps for all important tasks. Quick to load players. Much faster than Sonos app. I am reserving one star for feature I need. Sleep timer!

I forgot how fast my phone could run apps, this is 1000x better than the garbage from Sonos. Thankyou!

I can’t quite describe the feeling… I can control my Sonos speakers again, with no lag and no issues. Want to raise or lower the volume? It… does it, now, not ten seconds from now. Want to start or pause a song? It does it, now. Given the actual Sonos app can’t reliably do these things, I’ve switched to using this. Navigation is a bit clunky, but you get used to it. And it’s not the prettiest app on my phone. But it works! It actually works!

Unlike the native Sonos app, which currently is unable to shuffle playlists of more than 100 songs, SonoPhone lets me shuffle my entire playlist.

Perhaps it has always been able and I just missed it but I'd rather credit the newly added grouping and finding lost player support for once again renewing my faith in this app and its ability to make Sonos components function better than the official app. I'd earlier given up being able to use my Play:1 without risking my other functioning components to another of the official apps' "bug fix and enhancement" releases. This app is so much better than the Sonos app in general navigation. I miss having a lossless indicator.
