Spark Mail + AI: Email Inbox App Reviews

I've been using Spark since it was a free mail app, and while I wish it could have stayed free AND fully-featured, I can say that the fully-featured app is worth the price I pay for it. Clean, customizable interface, built-in calendar, cross-platform availability, and several other special features make this one of the better mail apps available (and miles ahead of Apple's native app).

I’ve used Spark for years (now the app bugs you to subscribe practically every day) and the subscription is required to send mail to spam! Yes, you can move a message to spam but that doesn’t block the sender like it should. Other than that, it’s pretty good

The new update on 8/18/23 hides the delete button so now I have to go through multiple steps to delete an email. Bring back the delete button so that it’s at the bottom of an email for easier deletion.

I love spark. I’ve been using it for a few years now, and is superior in reading, email handling and tools to other apps. Simple and extremely useful. But since a few weeks ago, the done function is not working properly. While it moves the emails away form inbox (I discovered, to the important folder of the email provider), the badge count remains inconsistent and showing them unread. What is worse, they remain unread on the actual email inbox. Please fix it!!!!!

At the moment I’m writing this Spark is bonked. It’s the first time I’ve experienced any sort of issue and I hope the developer fixes it ASAP.

In and of itself the app is everything I could ask for. However, if I activate a VPN service the app crashes after a few minutes and I have to reenter my email information. Even if I deactivate the VPN the app continues to crash; I have to reinstall the app and start from the beginning in order to stop it from crashing. I don’t know if this issue applies to all VPN services; for the moment you should assume that it does and not use VPN with this app.

One of the best email client ever. It fulfills almost all my need. It would be great if more keyboard shortcuts were added. I use magic keyboard a lot, so for me keyboard shortcuts are essential. Thanks to the developers, great effort so far, few more effort to make it the best.

Been using this app for years, only issue is that occasionally an email seems to disappear. Meaning it disappears from the location it SHOULD show up in on my iPhone & ipad. I'm using the "classic" in box type (to simplify this process) and I still have to end up reverting to the Apple mail app to locate it, has me looking into other email apps to avoid this irritation...

For some reason I can’t select and copy all text in emails.

I've tried countless email programs. None have the clean look and power of this app. I've never paid to upgrade from the free version. Until now. The power of this app changed my mind. Don't take my word for it. Try this app. It could hurt?

I really enjoy using spark, it’s been a very good email service. Until recently, I have noticed my email doesn’t actually show the new emails until I manually refresh my screen. They have updated their premium version. To block a domain, mute emails, and email large files you have to pay $7.99 a month. Granted there are other features, however it is not worth $7.99, especially when I can go back to my original email service like apple mail, email, and yahoo that do these services for free, and p

It really does need to shorten the visible time of the opening splash screen since it takes a couple of seconds before entering the actual app.

I have always liked Spark but a bit recently was struggling to manage my emails through the app compare to other services. So glad I stayed with Spark. The new version is so well organized, fast & easy! Thank you Spark developers!

Using Spark for last 6 months, some how Send Later does not seem to work, tried resetting, didn’t set it right

I’ve been using Spark for years now, and really like it. Alas, with version 3.0, Readdle has introduced yet another SaaS app, and yet another app requiring a subscription to get all of the new features. At least the previous features still work without having to pay for them subscription, but I am so sick and tired of the SaaS model that I’m tempted to delete Spark out of principle.

One of the best email apps around. Well designed and way less confusing then the others. Does not look and sort your email correspondence like a text message but more like email. Quite a few bells and whistles. 🇺🇦 You guys rock, and you are perpetually in my thoughts. Keep up the exceptional work your app kept me sane during the height of the pandemic!

Using the app for years, best email app out there!! Since latest iOS update though, badges have failed to show. Please fix.

So I deleted and reinstalled the app and now I’m not seeing a icon for badge notifications. I have the settings turned on both in the app and in iOS settings. Not sure why this is happening

Our team uses spark, roughly 40 people or so. We love the app, but in the 18 months we’ve used and paid for team accounts, product development has halted, it seems. No new features, no iterations. Spark has massive potential, the ability to chat with team within emails, co-edit, and assign is fantastic. But it’s disappointing that the team isn’t trying anything new. This isn’t good for a software company and I feel we will outgrow spark.

Been using this app for a while and since v2.11.15 the app does not show the badge notifications. I’ve deleted and reinstall numerous times. Even tried different email accounts, and the issue still persist. I guess it goes without saying with versions… you introduce 1-2 new features and fix a few bugs, but then 300 other bugs start happening. And I don’t need a generic response from a developer here… just hoping the app works out better for other users then it has for me..

Works well. Catches a good amount of spam. Always shows new email notifications (this only started 4-5 months ago) which is annoying. Otherwise working as intended.

I find it to be nicely organized which makes it easy to use.

I’ve been using Spark because I was constantly looking for a more intuitive email client than all others available. DON’T LOOK ANYWHERE ELSE I’ve tried all email clients available and Spark has no competition. Thank you for making such clean and ergonomic software. I’m sure the Code is as nice as the UX 🙏🏻 🙏🏻 🙏🏻

I like Spark, but it could use a PlugIn spam filter like Spamsieve. With the ongoing improvements to Apple Mail, I find I like it WITH SpamSieve better than I like Spark without. Please configure Spark to accept spam plug ins.

This has been a very helpful app. It would be nice to be able to block certain email addresses somehow though.

My favorite email app but... Kill the natural language calendar entry interface! At least optionally let users disable it. It constantly overrides my intended date/time settings. It is the most frustrating thing anywhere on my entire phone. I hardly bother to try to add events anymore. (Also a Windows or web client please!)

It drives me nuts that the trash can moves while scrolling in an email. I understand wanting to show more of the screen but the trash can could float where it is and the interface would remain constant. Please fix that!

Spark is efficient, fast and stable. Support is quick, kind, and comprehensive. Other email apps are yawners. My (second) favorite of ALL apps. (Unrelated but only PCalc is my main squeeze…and Simplenotes third) Greetings from the USA to the Ukraini Spark folks. Slava Ukraini!

Spark is incredible, it does ALMOST everything just right. Spark needs filters, that is all. Smart inbox and some other features are nice but when you are dealing with a complex inbox, filters into sub folders and out of your primarily mail is critical.
