Spark - Ren'Py Novels App Reviews

I was reading the other reviews saying it worked and thought of trying it and let me say I was wowed it worked just great so I haven’t had any problems I would recommend it in to play ren’Py games on your phone

Works shockingly well ngl

This is a great tool for reading visual novels on iPhone and iPad. Save management and game importing is pretty straight forward. Just wish I could use this tool on macOS as well. I feel it would make for better save management and cross-platform syncing would be great as well. Perhaps use iCloud to sync the saves across devices.

I sought this app out when I learned one of my favorite visual novels was ported to android but not iOS. I am so excited to be able to read VN’s on the go now! The app is able to scale the text size as well. On principal the only thing I don’t love is the AI art used on the application itself LOL. But my sincere thanks to the developer for creating this solution for iOS folks like me.

Ngl better experience than android

This app saved me from continuing to play NV on iOS. I switched to iPhone a long time ago and stopped playing VN for that reason, and thanks to this app I can start playing them again. I highly recommend this app. It's great and easy to use. Thank you for creating this wonderful app.

it needs 8.4.0

I cant play games that requires 8.41

Intuitive design…performs as expected. Ren’Py VNs are now being developed with version 8.4. Would be nice to have an update.

Works for the most part but certain novels have a black screen in place of animations. Some games with text message interface features have blank text boxes. By no means beats PC but still useful.

Been using this a few years now. Works good like 99% of the time. Sometimes there are crashes probably to do with ram memory issues on my iPad. Definitely recommend if you enjoy renpy games and don’t need to be stuck in front of a pc. My only concern is if it will continue to be updated with the latest RenPy versions. I’ve had one game require RenPy 8.40 and couldn’t be started with Spark. Latest it supports is 8.34 and hasn’t had an update in 8 months.

This app is so great I’ve been able to play so many Ren’py games despite not having a computer. I hope you will add support for 8.4.0 so we can play the newest built games. Thank you again dev for making this app!

The quick menu function is no longer working as it used to. Skipping text and backtracking are no longer triggering.
