Star Walk 2 bring the sky alive making it a joy to get answers to questions about the stars

For a nonprofessional that loves stargazing and occasionally pulling out the telescope to have a look, this app is perfect. Dear devs, Can you please add a setting to select the type of news shown in the widgets? All I ever see is satellite information and what is wanted is eclipses, meteor showers, comets, planets, and stars. I turned the widgets on every so often but after seeing nothing but satellite updates I turned them back off. Thank you!

Best app ever

The app is a great improvement from sky walk 1, but the galaxies are immaculate and unappealing. A return to the skywalk 1 galaxies would be great. Other than that the app is phenomenal.

On point for the time I wanted news of Starlink and how each satellite can be called and used

It’s user friendly however the stars don’t align with their true location in the sky. There is no capability to manually adjust the sky size and location while in compass mode. The faq are useless.

Fun to use, especially in the night sky.

The raw amount of stuff this app can do for FREE is absolutely insane. Sooo helpful for having a telescope and it’s fun to just browse the infographics, information on planets, etc. on the app. Can also make the screen red so it doesn’t mess up your night vision as much. Can’t say enough good things about this app!!

A pure joy to use and quenches my thirst for wonder .

Wondering why the little notification just told me the full moon is tonight 2 days before the actual full moon .....

Love the App, just got my First telescope and using the app help me find Saturn 🪐 effortlessly.

It would be great if The APP had a “ ask ? “ option like what is the brightest star in the sky based on the coordinates shown on my “sky live “ that I’m viewing now… live!

I would like to be able to manually adjust the compass. The only issue I have, and it is a major flaw, is that it is permanently linked to Apple Compass. Apple compass is wildly inaccurate, often up to 180 degrees off. If there was a manual compass fix or at least the ability to adjust manually to compensate for the inaccuracy of Apple Compass this would not be an issue.

Airmass, hour angle? These are easily computed and basics of real astronomy and still missing.

Every time I open up the app and start exploring I'm learning something new! I like the articles and education I get!

One of my favorite apps. I used to use it everyday, but after several years now it’s still an app I use at least a couple of times each week and love it every time. It’s incredible and amazing!! 💖💖💖

This app is helping our family learn the skies. No notes.

I love this app and use it frequently. My only gripe is that the labels for the stars, planets, etc. are too small and difficult for me to read.

enjoy this app! tweaks needed so it doesn’t “ding” me everyday. mistakenly turned on cartoons and can” get rid of them. now the good stuff. every day my wife and i enjoy sunset. our view is of the southern sky and its a pleasure to see the changes in changes from season to season. anomalies are called to our attention as well as following satellites, including Hubbles path across the sky. much fun fir seniors… a great learning tool for parents with kids! good work.

Since it’s first release Starwalk has been one of the most important and valued apps I own. And every new update just makes it even more valuable. Wether you’re an amateur astronomer, professional astronomer or just a back yard star gazer this app has it all. I highly recommend purchasing the upgrade to get the best experience. And no, I was not paid to say that. It really is that good.

I love this app. If you home school you need to get this , the kids Will learn much more then we ever learned in 1960s science class.

The new app does not recognize planet 9 like the old app! Why?

Delightful to use, the ability to turn on the tracking so that you can sweep across the sky and see what you’re looking at is truly amazing. Beautifully executed and great fun to use. I definitely recommend this app

I have used a couple star gazing apps in the past but when I found this on, it really is the best app it has everything you need for star gazing.

So useful. Wouldn’t be without it.

The app hit me with an enticing notification, “vesta is in opposition, nows the best time to see it” so I open it up and it’s like, “ah ah ahh, not till u pay u little goober” “vesta is premium content” Don’t send me a notification about something I can’t access plz. I immediately uninstalled

It has some issues like you want to see a space station well apparently they have no clue what this is since there are several on the link, then they show the planets going the opposite direction at times. But besides that it’s great, you can find a lot of objects in the sky, you have to be patient 😊

I use this app as a map for nighttime sky photography! Fantastic accuracy and many features that other apps don’t. Gives you a live feed of planets and satellites. Definitely recommend!

Ok but when I look east it shows camera view of west. How do I fix it?
