Crashes

This is a great app and great game except that it freezes about halfway waiting for another AI player to act.

Recommend

Very faithful and smooth adaptation of the classic board game. I’ve played against the AI maybe 50 times and it works very well. The easy AI makes some dumb mistakes, as you’d expect, and the medium and hard AIs are good competition. So happy to have this digital edition of one of my favorite games!

Cannot Finish Tutorial

Unable to complete the card section—very important area, too. Game tutorial freezes after I get to the point in which I tap the card panel: it goes to the next screen and then I cannot progress further.

So glad this is back on the iPad

Thank you for bringing my #1 favorite board game back to the iPad. The game is spot on as far as cards, rules, etc. but the interface is super clunky. There was another company that made an iOS version of this game years ago, they had it right. The inteface was so simple and not at all overwhelming. I was so excited this was back on the AppStore but it seems so complicated compared to the other app. Hey, I’m just glad it’s back but look into that, the other app was soooo user friendly and this o

Reprint and an issue

There was a stone App. It was great. Why did it go away? This one is fine. I can’t use my wild resources to get a building?!

Medium AI rolls disproportionately higher than human

I love this game and enjoyed playing it at first with an “easy” level AI. But when I progressed to the medium level AI, I started to notice that the AI rolls ridiculously high numbers in comparison to my rolls. I have the impression that the level of difficulty is determined simply by programming the AI to be much luckier, which takes the fun out of the game for me because I can never come close to beating it with my frequent low rolls.

Almost perfect but no turn notifications. *FIXED*

Game looks & sound great. One of the easier to learn & play board games. However there is a very big flaw for anyone who wants to play online. When it’s your turn, there is no notification. I keep having to constantly check online through out the day to see if it’s my turn or not. EDIT: in the settings there is push notification option but when I try to select it, it gives error “unable connect to server” EDIT: as of 10/12/24, notification bug was fixed. 5 stars!

Fun and Relaxing

So great to have Stone Age back on the iPad. The graphics are detailed and smooth. The background audio is great. Overall, the gameplay is slick and well worth it if you like the board game.

Needs work

I’ve loved this game. I’m glad a new developer brought it back. However, the multi-game is very wonky. I hope they fix it. On a side note, on a multi-player game, you can’t see the other player’s plays, so you’re just sitting there waiting for the turn to end.

App needs work

I used to play the previous app for the game and loved it so I was excited to see the game back in the App Store. The previous app was streamlined and easy to see. The app art here is great but so expansive that it can be hard to see for example the cost of the huts can be almost impossible to read. Ai grading is inelegant at best. Medium difficulty seems mostly to roll better. I’ve been playing for several days hoping to find ways around the app flaws but there are so many the game looses its p

Disappointing

This isn’t ready for prime time - there are visuals that are missing or shrunken at times (meeple is small/axe is not present) and only going to main menu and then going back to live game will they appear. Also, as mentioned before, AI rolls disproportionately high. I’ve seen two meeples produce 4 wood consecutive times. I wanted to like it but the first app was better.
