Can you add a YouTube ambient mode disabler? Because the YouTube ambient mode makes their site very slow and glitchy. And it hate having to tap the disable button in that gear icon in YouTube. Hope you see and implement this. Thanks.
I had left a crummy review because I didn’t really understand how the app operates. It actually does a lot of what it claims.
I have tried EVERYTHING in the past to stop ESPN from autoplaying their darn videos when I just want to read the article. And StopTheMadness did it! Super easy, and I didn’t need to give this extension permission to everything in the world just to block this one very annoying website. Yeah, this cost a few bucks to buy, but easily worth every penny for solving my problem after years of annoyance. Thank you!!!
Very happy I found this extension. You make a great product Jeff!
STM has a lot of great features, but for me-by FAR-the single most compelling feature is the one which prevents videos from autoplaying. why Apple have refused to bring this feature to Mobile Safari is beyond me, but now i don’t have to care! huzzah!
On my iPhone 12 Pro Max the “stop keyboard page zoom” function is not working on safari…
Thank you for making more website lot more tolerable. Ability to inject additional scripts makes it truly flexible. A feature request: Could you please add support to automatically click “yes” when YouTube asks if you are still listening? This is one real annoyance currently.
i know this app is way dank but honesty dont know what half the features do rllylol wish more explanation was given
This is an example of an app that keeps delivering after you buy it. The developer has done a great job up-keeping and adding features over time.
Just get this essential tool and save yourself a lot of headache when browsing the web. The “modern” web is a trash heap of marketing managers’ bad ideas, and intrusive tracking and analytics nonsense topped with an unhealthy dose of annoyance. This tool helps bring a little sanity back. For a little while at least.
Nothing much more to say. Forces annoying videos with custom built html5 crap to use native video player, allows saving of images, gets rid of annoying crap in general. Must have and well worth the price of a (big) coffee.
Lovin’ my new browsing experience!
This extension is amazing. One of my favorite websites to go to is Pitchfork.com and the music website ironically stops my music playing whenever I’m on the website. This app solved that ongoing issue. One of my best purchased apps
This extension is worth every single penny because it is the only method I’ve found that actually stops websites from auto-playing videos. I realize a lot of people like watching videos all day long and want them autoplaying. I am not one of those people. I’m sure this extension has other useful features that I’ll eventually discover, but finally stopping auto play was the primary reason I was willing to spend money. Very satisfied.
Incredibly powerful app.
I thought I’d gotten a lemon if an app, but the attentive customer service tells me this app has room to grow and customer service willing to help you understand whatever you don’t. Best customer service from any app hands down.
This app provides controls to Safari that are available with non-iOS browsers. I highly recommend it. (Apple neuters all other browsers in the Apple App Store. Can't wait for the EU to force Apple to allow access to other app stores.)
This is a must buy. Incredible support, works great, and makes the internet more enjoyable. Best of all, no subscription!!
This works great. Well worth it.
Perfect app that does everything I want. Just wished it had an iCloud sync because it’s a pain trying to match settings between multiple devices.
This app is a long overdue tool against a increasingly and frustratingly more than ever monetized user hostile internet
Videos still chase me, but at least they’re not autoplaying!
There was a bug that I reported and the developer Jeff got back to me right away and fixed the issue very quickly. Great service
I emailed the dev with a request to add a feature to override the zoom settings of a website and within a week he had implemented it in the extension and it works perfectly. 5 stars easy!
I really wish the UX/UI was easier to understand without reading the long help page. Maybe the developer could add some hints ( like hit return to add a custom site; or nothing happens). But overall this is a power user Safari extension.
I’ve used this extension on my Mac for a while and couldn’t be happier to see it come to iOS / iPadOS! Take my money! Thank you for this extension!
I really like this extension but please offer an option to turn off the message when opening amp links. Is adding more annoyances to an extension that is supposed to stop them. Fixed in latest update.
Fixes so many annoying things on the web, such as blocking pasting, contextual menus, etc. Must-have extension. Highly recommended.
StopTheMadness is a godsend on macOS Safari, and I was so happy to see it released for iOS and iPadOS today. $7.99 is a steal, particularly considering all the goodness the macOS version has brought into my life.
So excited to be done with Google amp links. All of the other privacy features are really excellent to have as well. Will probably have to get this for my Mac now too.
This app has incredible value. My favorite features are stopping auto playing of videos and dealing with Google AMP. So glad this made finally it to iOS!
