this is a great app to have it always alerts me when there is severe weather happening in the area whenever it’s snow or thunderstorms.

Considering this is an app that I’m paying for, I expect it to function during extreme weather events. We had a tornado warning today, and while I received notifications, the alerts on the app itself did not update to match. Very disappointing.

I like the app. But what’s annoying is that it tends to generate weather alert notifications and, when I tap the notification and it launches the app, NO ALERTS are seen. So, I’ll see a “Special Weather Statement” notification, tap it, and the app will open with NO additional information about what the Statement is about. VERY annoying.

I depend on storm shield, because I live out in the countryside of SE Indiana and I have no basement to go to, but my sister does, so that I may go there immediately! I just wish it was a little quicker……

Amazing app, I have never lived in a state where I needed this. But now, I am so glad we have it. It always notifies us of any inclement weather, from snow to tornadoes. Big fan!

Lifesaving app

I’ve been using the app for at least two years and I rely on it for its accuracy and its reliability over any others I have used.

I found the app to be glitchy. Can’t seem to run clouds and radar together most of the time. Local weather is not updated. Like it is raining right now with 40 mph winds. All it says is a cloud picture for my city. It would be different if it was free, buts it’s not.

It’s no secret that Mother Nature is angry. But I liken a Storm Shield Alert to a sneeze predicting a head cold or even the Flu. We all want tornado warnings — even watches—stuff like that. But I’m not a fan of being bombarded daily by the smaller things, not to mention your typical window of time feels unrealistic. Dramatic.

I still come back to Storm Shield after trying varying other weather apps and I rely upon it for its location-based alerts and accuracy. Couple suggestions: 1. The app should support Critical Alerts as mentioned in previous reviews. This would benefit greatly those that use Do Not Disturb or Sleep Focus at night or when the mute switch is on. 2. CarPlay support would help while we drive and use CarPlay. Maybe having notifications feed to us while using CarPlay would be of benefit as well.

I don’t know who is this person or should I say meteorologist is, but && you have done a spectacular job from one meteorologist to another. It’s a thankless job, believe me I know. Keep up the great work.

This is the most accurate weather app I’ve had and I love had it shows me places I’ve actually visited also

Requires money grab to see future radar. During severe and dangerous weather, how is this safe?

I’ve used this app for at least 5+ years & it has become useless & expensive. The forecast showing weather across the day conflicts dramatically with that shown for the week. For example, today the conflicting temp forecasts are off by 20 degrees from each other. Sometimes one shows sun while the other shows storms. The 2 forecasts rarely match or are even close. I am currently looking for a better weather app & anticipate canceling this one. I do not recommend it!

I keep getting weather alert notifications then once I go into the app to see what it is there’s no alert at all. This is becoming a more frequent issue.

I am paying the monthly fee. It’s frustrating that the app will send a notification that “the national weather service had issued a special weather statement “ but when you click on the notification the app opens and the statement is not available at all. What is the point of displaying a notification if the statement cannot be read? Other than that the all is fine. It’s hard to believe all these 5 star reviews are not fake.

I have used this for camping trips. The location will not refresh to identify current location. Rendering the main features useless. I hope you can fix this!

I loved this app until the last update. Now it’s wrong more than it’s right and half the time I don’t get the alerts until the day after and then they all come at once 😭.

Quit sending out notifications on things that are not a threat. I only want to hear about tornado and warnings.
