15 Positive User Reviews for SwiftoDo for todo.txt

I've tried them all but I keep coming back

I've tried most EVERY to-do and task application in existence (click up, notion, microsoft to do, tick tick, google tasks, remember the milk, evernote, omnifocus and org-mode, to name a few), but, I keep coming back to this plain text swift to do app. I use some tricks to organize my tasks, gtd principles of course and even create an events calendar within the app.

Good but lacking a few things..

Love the simplicity of todo.txt and this app’s implementation. However for the price I think it’s lacking some iOS integration. I would like to be able to put a today widget on a screen and cross items off throughout the day without checking the app. Time specific recurring due dates and notifications I think are necessary as well. These couple items would make this a 5 star app.

Elegant controls

Has controls for adjusting priority, due date, other things that are very elegant and useful. This is what sets it apart from other todo.txt apps

Reasonable

Managing tasks is easy. Archiving, priorities, filters, and recurrence all behave like I expect My one problem is that I’m using Files for sync and managing underlying with sync thing. I get a reliable crash whenever I open following a remote change. Reopening displays everything fine. M

Works well but auto dark mode would be nice

Would like it to change themes automatically like most apps nowadays.

No longer supported / no longer developed

First of all, it’s the best todo.txt app on the App Store. It could be 4.5-5 Stars, but there is no technical support whatsoever from the developer. And there has been no recent update despite there being a couple of obvious, though small, bugs.

A really good app with no real private way to sync for

This may not be an issue with the app, but may just be an issue with the iOS files app. I wish to store my to do list on Nextcloud which I host myself. And for some reason the files app will not allow me to sync using SwiftoDo after about 12 hours. The syncing just stops. It would be nice if this app supported either WenDAB or Git direct syncing.

Tea timer

I have to start the tea timer when i make tea

Can’t Beat Text-based Productivity

Plain text may not be as fancy as web-based to-do apps, but its flexibility makes it more powerful and faster. Coupled with a well thought out process for managing your personal productivity, SwiftoDo really can’t be beat.

Two more features

Great app but it’s missing two things. 1. Widgets - I want to be able to see one tag or one projects tasks on the Home Screen 2. Apple Watch integration - it can just be read only of the tasks that I need to do today or some filter.

Every day

This is a refines app, great for plain text to do's. The beat I've found and well supported.

Great mobile, acceptable desktop

Syncs well in iCloud. Desktop has acceptable editing. Better controls on mobile. Great in dock, opens quick and makes adding tasks fast. Also easy to sort, set priority, dates on mobile

Would be 5 stars ...

If there was a way to give it scoped Dropbox permissions.

2 Negative User Reviews for SwiftoDo for todo.txt

No support

I need help and the app developer is absolutely unreachable as far as I can tell. Sigh

Date picker is still broken

The design is simple and pleasant and I love it. The only problem is that the inline date picker crashes the app when you try to use it, and is automatically opened when trying to enter a due date, so it’s essentially impossible to use due dates. The last patch suggested this was fixed but as of 3.3.4 it’s not
