Where is the original table top racing?!?!

i want the classic table top racing back！

I love the game especially the original one, it was a childhood favorite, and I enjoy being able to do similar tracks and things like I used to be, but how are you supposed to turn?? Like even if I bounce off the other wall and then slam it in the other direction I’m still going too fast to make the turn, specifically the beginning map with the beer buckets at the finish. I just wish I could either slow down to make the turn like the AI do or Mabey a better car will help
