Now as a critic I usually don’t test….baby games but the game has around 21k reviews so I decided why not? When I played the game there wasn’t a stupid fee for a game advertised as FREE thankfully (I’m looking at you SIMPLY PIANO) anyways. The game is very interactive. The kids can definitely learn. customize their avatar. And follow a fun story! (now I don’t have any KIDS and I’m not planning on having some. But if I did I would download this game for them. Highly recommended.
Good for my learning😁
Super good for learning
My mom got me this and now i am a reading and writing fanatic. She got me this when i was in kindergarten. I am in 6th grade now. Very good
You can make your own monster did you different challenged Also learn well, having fun
My daughter was playing today and I noticed that the “TH” is being sounded out with the “N” sound.

I’m coming back to this like 10 years later I remember how fun this was for no reason totally recommend for kids
Best game ever
Usually I have to convince my little one to open up learning apps but with this one he grabs it on his own and loves the game. On his first day he was already reading better.
I used this with students before I retired. Now, it is part of how I home school my grandson. I’m glad I learned about it then, so he can use it now!
I’m going to be perfectly honest here, this game has fun mini games and no bugs at all from my experience, but the one issue I have with it is that it doesn’t really help children once they learn to read. Once they can read, it just becomes kind of useless for the child. In my experience, it was a fun game overall that did what it was supposed to do quite well! To anyone who’s reading this and looking for an app to help your child learn to read, this might be your best bet.
I am enjoying Teach Your Monster To Read.
As an elementary school teacher with thirty years experience, I wholeheartedly endorse this app! It takes children from a prereader stage to early reading skills.
My kid taught himself to read before kindergarten during lock down just by playing this game. Starts really slow and simple but he didn’t mind because he hadn’t played any games before. Very gradual but effective!
I would do good reader for mine and it would say something like, “sun. S. U. N” Like, omg!! I never knew 😒
My 4 year old sister is in love with it she is about to start kindergarten next year! Maybe they will learn letter sounds and stuff.thanks for that app❤️❤️❤️
i love this app its so cool a few adjustments let us make an account on the app.
I’m so impressed with how this free app teaches vowel combinations to my rising first grader!
I am not here to write a review. But to say thank to the usborne foundation and the people behind the game. My girl became a reader.
Me and my little sister have so much fun learning and this is good for her because she is in preschool and she is a level one but we are going to work on that so yeah but I also love this game because I tried getting more games like this but they all cost money and this is the only one I love because I played it and I am the oldest out of all my siblings and I still play it so everyone should download this app
My son is 4 and this app along with other free apps has helped him build his reading skills to an impressive degree. I really appreciate the quality and it has held his attention while giving him a solid foundation for reading. Thanks for the great free content.
This game has really helped my 4-year old son. He has trouble focusing on practice activities that I have done with him, but the game is fun (and funny) to him and he plays it all on his own. I truly believe that it has taught him a lot about sounds and starting words. And it doesn’t hurt that it’s by a company that we’ve bought fantastic books from!
Soo what I was little I alway love this game the my brother the first flayd this game he love it but one time he acendently delisted his ceroter and he is rely sad but this app did not have a update which is sad because I rely what the app to be fo every grade but this app I the best app and now my brother love this game but sad about the deleted part app I also wish that some day this app could be the best app in the world🤩
This a wonderful app !!!I remember playing it when I was little and I loved and then I downloaded it for my little sister and she loved it. She had so much fun playing it and loved the missions we’re fun and interesting and making her monster
I love this app! My son enjoys playing it too and I love hearing him learn by repeating the word sounds. Highly recommend this app! Worth every penny.
4yo loves and that makes me glad BUT I get frustrated it never says the name of the letter. So for that, it loses a star. It would have been soooo easy for them to just say, “the sound, ‘fff’, as in the letter F” etc etc but no, it’s me having to say, “the sound ‘buh’ is the letter B”. Otherwise really cute and supportive.
I tried ABC Mouse and Hooked on Phonics and several other “highly” rated games for my kindergartner. None of them even come close to the quality, the fun, and the effectiveness of TAMTR. Save your money on the other scams and go with this.
I love the game you guys have made for them and again thanks very much thank you Vanessa
As a Kindergarten teacher I just recently added this app your my reading group! All of my students are loving it!
I love this game it’s awesome but smart 😉
Hey this is a very clever application. It has really helped my son. The only improvement I would like to see is something that had the child trace the letters to help them really learn the shape of the letters.
It is so much easier than the other ones I have
My little sister is 7 and she is in love with this thing it has the stupidest scenarios that’s what I love about it I am ten by the way DOWNLOAD IT bye also check out my YouTube channel Lemme koopa
We’ve finally found an enjoyable tool for my daughter to help teach her how to read! She looks forward to her learning time now :)
It’s so fun I love learning games I love
3 Negative User Reviews for Teach Your Monster to Read
I bought this app to help reinforce my son’s phonics skills in reading. The app was helpful and made it fun. The downside of this app was how much subliminal messages he would see playing the app. There were so many false rainbows trying to normalize depravity that I deleted it. Be forewarned of the agenda be pushed through.
My son enjoyed it for short time, it didn’t help him progress to next level, and I definitely didn’t like the “rainbow “ that suggests the lqtb…community, and that the monster looked male but then was wearing a dress , that was confusing Definitely will not use again and will not recommend this
It can be a little bit easy but you can always learn new things at teach monster🙂.
