Not sure why I can’t check the two corporations when playing solo and if I don’t like the two presented, in the past the main bar on the left was accessible. Now it’s not. Also, the Goal pop up doesn’t go away that hovers on the right side. Please fix these! Love this game regardless but unsure why this is happening
Honestly the game and the mobile adaptation is great, only issue is it seems to have a hard time passing the turn and refreshing when someone passes. A lot of the time I find it more smooth to completely close the app between turns and when I get the notification that it is my turn open the whole game up again, which is quite cumbersome.
Great game otherwise, but without prelude project cards showing up even when selected this a disappointment. Even after latest update. Please fix!
Satellites card incorrectly counts space tags in the solo game. Screen buttons are VERY small on iPhone SE. Game play is pretty good though.
As an avid boardgame hobbyist, this is an amazing recreation of the Boardgame. It gives me the opportunity to play a generally longer boardgame that I love as often as I like. It is often updated and fixed for bugs which is a huge plus. If you love strategy games or the Boardgame, this is a must have game app.
I thoroughly enjoy this game however it is incredibly frustrating when it does not count the tags correctly because then you can’t play the cards that you planned on playing. Especially the science tags. If there’s more than one tag on a card, it never counts them correctly. It’ll count one but not very irritating for someone that tries to place strategically.
Love the mobile app version’s features. It so fast, simple, and thorough compared to the tabletop version. I’ve relearned rules and actions to this game that I have completely missed playing it with others in person. I’m grateful for what this app has taught me, but the app does glitch at times where the only course is to forfeit the match or leave the app. Once they fix it this will be the perfect way to learn TFM. Thanks developers!
This is probably the best adaptation from the board game to an app that I’ve played. It’s excellent and very easy to pick up if you already know the rules. You’ll enjoy it.
Update: hey developers - card tags are not being calculated properly which is negatively impacting the experience. Could you please try to fix?? 🙏🏼 The game itself is very well done. The AI is awful though. Frequently makes suboptimal decisions. Even on the highest difficulty its easy to win by 30+ points without thinking much. This would be an easy 5 stars with better single player competition
I wish after the points were scored you could go back to the board. It would be a nice app addition to be able to do a post-game analysis so you could learn from your mistakes and actually see where and how the scoring was tabulated.
Super awesome job with lots of updates with bug fixes. Well done, Asmodee! For me, the speed of the interface (opening the app, resuming the game, making my move) is still slow/clunky, but the rest is nice and getting better.
I own the physical copy of the games and all the current expansions. I love being able to play this on a mobile device and I’ve sunk many hours into it. But I’m really dying for the expansions. At the time of this review only preludes + the two additional boards are available.
Parts of the game are good, but there needs to be higher rated AI and the blue expansion map has bugs around the southern polar caps (see interactions with cards which must be near greeneries)
Mobile app makes the game very easy to play
I wish after the points were scored you could go back to the board. I’m not completely convinced the scoring is always accurate. It would be a nice addition to be able to do a post-game analysis so you could learn from your mistakes and actually see where and how the scoring was tabulated . Plus like I said I think the app may be flawed in its scoring at the end.
There’s a bug with the Regolith Eaters card. I always only have 1 resource on it and can never use two to increase oxygen. Please fix!
This app has all the workings of a good game, decent matchmaking and wonderful graphics/cards. BUT IT CRASHES ALL THE TIME… It seems to freeze the most right after drafting cards for a round. At the end of the game with 5 minutes left it will freeze and you will run out of time. Once the developers can stop the crashing/freezing it deserves 5/5 stars. Until then, it gets a 3.
It’s a really fun strategy game, I hope they you guys will continue to add more corporations and other content.
The screen of screen display freezes… have to restart…
This game is really complex, but love playing with a friend or two online - if you like deep board games give this a try, it took me many games to get the hang of it but especially fun with the expansions
Good implementation but if I leave a local game unfinished and it needs to be “resumed”, I’m unable to do so. Finish your games in a single sitting or you might not be able to finish.
Sound does not work with speakers. It works with head phones. The speakers work with all other applications except this one.
The game itself is very well done. The AI is awful though. Frequently makes suboptimal decisions. Even on the highest difficulty its easy to win by 30+ points without thinking much. This would be an easy 5 stars with better single player competition
All other app devs should take note - this is how you make a video game port of a board game.
This app is a faithful representation of the amazing board game Terraforming Mars. The animations transitioning between play actions and states are a bit slow and cut down on the otherwise solid feel of the app.
This is a great game and very faithful to the board game. Takes a little time to digest but if you’ve played the board game you should make a quick transition. Only flaw is it needs an undo button.
The app works quite well and the thriving online community is quite competitive. Highly recommended.
Terraforming Mars is an addicting game once you figure it out. Expansion is 100% worth it and I’d love more! I wish the AI was stronger. I can’t lose, even on Hard
The game runs and functions great, but the notch on the top of the iPhone covers the left side of the screen and obscures some UI and text.
Great game, great app. The only thing missing is more expansion packs.
Easy to lose hours lost in this game. A bit of a learning curve but well worth your time. Works great solo and online. Awesome!
I played this game off and on overtime, and I never get tired of playing it. It’s very creative and each game is different enough to keep me coming back.
At the end of solo mode it shows the score instead of progress. It should probably show the progress in the three key categories. It would be ok to show the score too but I especially don’t care about my score if I didn’t win.
Great implementation, but where are the expansions? Even just prelude and the extra maps would be huge. I’d pay more for those.
This is an awesome game. I play it 3-4 times a day. The prelude expansion is really cool. Any chance that the Hellas and Elysium expansion can be released anytime soon? I really like that one. Other than that, LOVE this game.
More expansions. Otherwise, great game!
Designed by the man himself Elon designed this game to benefit off of the common man’s strategic ingenuity. This comment has been certified by the Coloradoin times.
You end up wasting a lot of time bc the bugs won’t let you play or create a time out
Turmoil, colonies, Elysian and Hellas would all be awesome expansions. For now- really fun, but crashes all the time.

TM is a very fun board game but at least on mobile it is waaaaay to buggy and broken to actually buy. Get it on PC. Not worth on App Store. Avoid.
The board game is great. The app is a great implementation of the physical game, except… I play with friends across the country/world, and we can’t ever finish a game anymore. Usually it is an app update (auto-install) which then can’t read the older game data. Please make each version able to read at least the previous version’s game data! This time each person was kicked out and replaced by AI even with lots of time remaining. The app used to work great for online play. I think it is time for
It’s a great game and good app. Except after some update it keeps glitching. The game will freeze and if we try to reload it will get stuck loading at some percent… Also the AIs are too easy.
I’ve been playing TMs board gamefor years. For the most part, I am OK with the app, but it just really…. really needs an undo feature. Almost every game there is a point where I go to play a card that, due to some obscure rule, doesnt work the way I think it should. A simple “undo” button would allow me to learn from the mistake without impacting my game. Also, whenever you go to place a tile on the board should you accidentally tap the wrong space it will place the tile and cannot be corre
I think the game is great. But the worst thing is every time there is an update you then can’t play any game you were in the middle of. So frustrating. You pay for something you should be able to complete the game. At least warn users of an upcoming update that will do that. The other thing is when you finish a game, it stays in your list of games and doesn’t disappear. So you have this long list of games and you have to search through to see which game you are currently playing. PLEASE fix so t
Terraforming mars is a great game, but this app needs to be optimized. The game gets slower and slower the farther along you are in the game. To the point that it affects your enjoyment. My group has switched to a browser version because it’s been so annoying
