24 Positive User Reviews for The Baltimore Banner
What I remember news being!
It was thanks to WYPR that I got turned on to the Banner. I was impressed with the reporting and the cooperation between radio and print! Then I got hooked by headlines that would come up on various news outlets (or whatever they're called -- MSN, Apple, Google News). I didn't want to pay when I can read the Sun for free through my job as a teacher. Then I thought, "when's the last time you enjoyed reading the Sun? They're not even local anymore; not really." So, I subscribed to the Banner
We need The Banner in Baltimore
Good journalism! I like it.
Baltimore Banner Review | Benjamin
The stories are juicy with intriguing and relatable content & the staff is responsive. This app and organization make Baltimore Better.
So much better than the Sun
Excellent work, and far more politically worth supporting!
Good reporting
The Banner is the most reliable source of local news I know. Thanks
Great Product
Very enjoyable read. Well done!
Real news written by real writers
Bravo. Glad to pay for a subscription to The Banner.
Much better app experience
Really enjoy reading The Banner. Clever writing with an insightful approach. “Print” may be a thing of the past, its nice to see that News and reporting is not.
I’ve been a longtime Sun reader, but their on line experience is wonky at best -especially on my mobile devices. So many ads in weird places, it’s hard to even just scroll through. I subscribe to both (for now. I may cancel The Sun)
Glad I Subscribed
The Banner is just the news service Baltimore needs!
Please fix
I called Monday and explained my issue. Can not login. Ip15pro ios 17.3. No problem on PC just phone. Still can login just on the phone. Subscribed from day one. Was this taken seriously! Love the banner!
Refreshing and vital
If you care about Baltimore and Maryland, subscribe and support The Banner. We need this.
Butterfly Effect
A great analytical article that brought together the political economic & social consequences of the complex connections that the butterfly effect of Key Bridge collapse could generate
Thanks Goodness for Local Reporting

Serious investigative journalism
I think that says it all-except that Baltimore is so fortunate to have this high quality news source.
First Class, World Class Journalism
To see the quality of writing, editing, interviewing, investigation, data, unbias, fact & storytelling journalism of the Baltimore Banner, a news organization just recently discovered and recommended by a coworker…makes my heart keep beating for my city! Thank you for all that your hard working reporters do.
Great local journalism for Baltimoreans and Marylanders
The Banner has introduced something that many folks had wanted to see for years: A solid local “paper” (ok so not literally) that wasn’t the Sun. We now have it in the Banner, and especially in the wake of the Key Bridge collision and collapse, I’m happy to support them.
Great digital reporting
This is journalism as the event should be told, whether it’s news, food, politics, sports, business, etc
A fresh look and in-depth reporting.
Great Journalism
They’re thirsty for the facts and diligent about the details. I Highly recommend!
Back.
The classic Baltimore newspaper is back. True, factual, and interesting and independent. The reporting and writing is as good as it gets. Everyone who lives in and loves Maryland should get this paper. Thank you!
Honest Reporting
Banner covers local businesses and social issues better than and other media in its area!
Keeps track of local government!
Great Editorial Staff
The express desk is at the top of their game😉
Great Article
What a great read! A wonderful piece illustrating BALTIMORE’S positives, and contributions in the arts!
Good journalism. Period.
I’m now a former Baltimore Sun subscriber who had heard about the breaking news the Banner was making in collaboration with WYPR. Now, with the sad purchase of the Sun to an owner who apparently doesn’t read newspapers, among other things, I’m a Banner subscriber who looks forward to getting to know my community better. Long live local news reporting!
