Great app, one recommendation

Love the idea of this app, please add opacity options so it can be more transparent for times it’s needed

I like it but could use enhancements

This app works as advertised, but I find myself being annoyed with it because I can't quickly turn it off (or set it to be off by default and just turn it on when needed). I don't want to have to disable to whole plugin or click each word in my search terms to turn it off each time. I would love it if there was a toggle switch that I could default to the off position, and when I want to it on I can flip to see everything just like it works now. Or even if I could snooze it for a while. There are

How do I hide the highlights?

Great concept. Seems like there should be a simple way to hide ALL the highlights. I see that you can click each individual word from the search query to hide each individually, but if you have a long search query, this is tedious. Seems to me that the "Highlighted Phrases (##)" should be a clickable toggle that hides/shows ALL of the highlighted words. If this feature already exisits, please let me know!

Major problem detected!

It works great on my website, which made me very happy until I discovered a major problem (hijacking my Google Search). So, I contacted the developer directly. When this is fixed, it’s back to 5 stars.

Works great

Not sure why recent reviews have comment on it not working. Works great on my iPad/iPhone.

Doesn’t work on Kagi - abandoned

The app doesn’t work on Kagi, despite claiming it does. I filed a support ticket a year ago. The developer hasn’t updated the app since, or responded, so it appears abandoned. I recommend folks stay away. I’ll note that the highlighting still seems to work fine with other search engines.

Thanks for the Kagi support!

Great extension! Thanks so much for adding Kagi support.

Works as Advertised

Safari is not my primary browser on the Mac, I've grown to appreciate this extension so much - that it is jarring when I go to my other browser and its not there! Also, you can't beat that once you've purchased this on the mac its now available for free on iOS and iPadOS. To the Developer - please bring this to Chromium based browsers!

Great idea but...

This is a great idea and a useful utility but please **give us the option to define the keyboard-shortcut ourselves** instead of hardwiring it.

Good but a few things do not work (yet)

This is great app that helps become more productive. However it has lingering bugs that I am sure the developer will be able to fix without much trouble: 1) on ipados, the keyboard shortcut does not work (and in my case it is already assigned to another app) 2) the "tap to highlight" shown in the pop up does not seem to work Looking forward to seeing an update!

LOVE IT!!

I love little productivity hacks like this! Bravo 👏👏👏

Cool concept, tweaks would make it perfect

I love this idea of introducing a visual continuity betwen my searches and the links I click on. One thing I've noticed is that the highlights can be a bit noisy depending on the search and destination. Some ideas to improve this: - Option to only activate on queries with greater than X number of words - Option to ignore stop words ("the", "a", "an", etc.) - Option to only add highlights if the query is found fewer than X times on the page

Google Search Speed Boost 🚀

The Magic Highlighter is such a speed boost to the workflow I use most throughout the day: google search. Whether for personal or business use, having search terms highlighted on the resulting page gets you the answer you’re looking for instantly.

Unmaintained

A great concept ruined by its unfinished nature and lack of improvements. Feature requests go unanswered for months.
