The Times of India - News App App Reviews

I check this app at least once a day, sometimes on my way to work, sometimes once I get to work, and off late it has started playing a code which is not muted by default. If you want to play a video after opening the app, do so, but why not make the audio muted by default and then those who want can turn it on. I don’t like to listen to what other people are playing on their phones and I also would not like to inflict my phones sounds on other people going about their business.

Other than the annoying ads popping up too frequently , the journalists repeats the same thing again and agin like a loop in the news . It seems they are filling up blank space

The Times of India is one of the most established, popular, and respected newspapers in the country for a reason. And if, like Ms, you live outside India, getting access to the Times in pretty invaluable. So every so often you have to ‘suffer’ through a few seconds of an ad? Ever consider how entitled you are if you don’t think you should be having to PAY for a product, a service, from which you benefit? The app has been improved quite well in recent months. I would like to see the space between sentences to be a bit more for better readability. Great content.

your ad provider needs to get better ads , most ads are gross and irritating most good articles now have become paid via TOI+ too much greed from TOI making me look elsewhere 3 stars still due to some reasonable content

Using the app for years and with each update things getting worse, multiple ad pop ups, annoying auto videos.

The app needs a lot of improvement. “Watch” articles which contain a video link or a link to a video on a third party website like Twitter(X) do not work. I can see the text part of the news but the video section is unavailable or covered by ads! Please fix!
