TIDAL Music: HiFi Sound App Reviews

There are different artists that share names at times, which causes tidal to list them as the same artist when you look at Albums. Examples are Anibal and Secret Band. This is really annoying. Please sort your artists properly :/

Getting it to use WiFi only seems hard, and downloads are a pain if you can’t log in, you can’t play them. Sucks in the mountains with no WiFi to be found.

If you play a singular track on repeat, Tidal will pause it after a random number of replays. That’s my only complaint I have with it after about a year of use.

My only critique is that there’s no “wrapped” at the end of each yr to look back on.

I have had SoundCloud, Spotify, Amazon Music and Apple Music. I always thought Apple Music was the best sound out of them. My friend and I got systems installed in our cars and the guy told him about TIDAL and then he told me. I have since then made the switch, from only 2 days of using it I switched my entire music library over and now only use TIDAL! This app the music is so much more clear without taking away loudness and bass which is what I was afraid off. I have no problems with the app it

The audio quality is hands down superior to Apple Music. Sounds amazing on Amp + Headphones and on B&W system. However, I still have to pay for the apple music given the limited Bollywood collection on Tidal. I wish you would get aggressive to expand your Bollywood collection and then market your superior quality to Indian audience in North America , Europe, and Australia.

Tidal has hands down the best audio quality out of any service, and this is why I use them. However their CarPlay integration is horrible. You can’t view artists alphabetically, there is no easy scroll while driving, and worst of all if I speak the song I want to hear it will get it wrong 80% of the time. They really need to step up their CarPlay game.

The quality coming out of Tidal is amazing, recently got my hands on some iems and a dac and amp dongle and this takes full advantage of that combo. The audio reproduction is top.

By far the best music steaming app and it’s not even close I’ve had them all sometimes simultaneously for different reasons. This one has the sound quality I’m looking for and amazing UI so clean but at the same time robust love it

KEF ls60 powered speakers with tidal connect is next level. Audiophiles take note - it is that good. Expensive, but worth it.

I wish at the end of the year I could see how much time I listened to music and stuff compared to others like Spotify or Apple Music

The music quality on tidal is what sets it apart from the rest. All the same songs, better sound to enjoys them.

In the case it doesn’t have a song I like there is a request music feature… if you're a subscriber. They do find requested songs for you, but it’s not guaranteed to be a MQA track.

Tidal app is one of the best i've used. The audio quailty is amazing. The now playing ui is so good. With a few improvements here & there. I could be top teir.

Starting to become irritating for how much I’m paying

GREAT sound. However, adjusting a playlist is a nightmare. Especially if you have Tidal on multiple devices. The constant refreshing that you have to do is irritating, along with the skipping that you get when adjusting your songs in a playlist on mobile devices. The sound quality is the only thing kinda holding this app together and even then there’s no EQ. But its fresh. Theres lots of room for improvement which they will reach.

TIDAL SHOULD BE THE ONLY STREAMING SERVICE FOR MUSIC.

I’ve been using Tidal since Jay Z’s 444 album came out, I love this app and it’s way better than all the other streaming platforms

TIDAL is hands down the finest streaming service out there. Their commitment to high-fidelity streaming and royalties make them unique in the music industry. Although the UI’s not perfect, I firmly believe the pros outweigh the cons, and if you really want to support the artists you listen to, you’ll listen to them through TIDAL.

I switched to Tidal because Apple Music subscriptions price got raised. I love how it feels like Apple Music and Spotify combined. Plus it strongly supports students, first responders, and military with very significant discounts to its HIFI plan. It may seem more expensive in the app but if you pay for it using a browser on its website it’s only $9.99 which is what Apple Music used to be. Overall good service!

quality is amazing

First and foremost, Tidal pays artists MUCH more than any other platform. So it’s worth it to me to stay with them…. but boy is this mobile app a pain in the butt! Lots of inexplicable crashes, very bad at streaming on cellular data. But at the end of the day, we gotta pay our artists! Hope Tidal figures the rest out.

I have tried many types of streaming service as a DJ, and often the provider does not have the version, or the artist I’m looking for. Tidal has had almost every track I have searched for. I will keep this service above all others. P.S. You can also just search by song title with Tidal.

I’ve had this app for a few years. I don’t see myself using anything else.

If i create a radio based on a reggaeton song,.. please play reggaeton. There’s no reason why big time rush and gorillaz should be playing when i created a radio for reggaeton. Also it doesn’t sound as loud as other apps.

Some albums are not streaming anymore especially drakes catalog

Every song I listen to downloads onto my iPhone and takes up memory space. Why? I have to delete hundreds of Tidal files ONE AT A TIME. Why?
