45 Positive User Reviews for Todoist: To Do List & Calendar
My #1 TODO app.
I’ve tried hundreds of to do lists and this is the only one that has ever worked for me. If you’re considering whether or not to get it, get it.
I used to use Things 3 but re-discovered Todoist after its redesign, and now I use it to manage all of my general to-dos and work projects. Thanks for the great app! Suggestion — It would be great if the dark mode in the app and on widgets would just be a dark version of whatever the light color select it is. Like if I have selected blueberry, then in dark mode instead of seeing red accents, I get blueberry-ish accents. I hate the red accents.
No subscription needed nor asked for. I’ve been using this app for years. My only complaint is that I can’t download the app twice and make the second version my own little book tracker 😂
It’s my choice for doing anything
Todoist is hands-down the most useful organizational tool in my office! It’s simple, syncs flawlessly, and it just works. I’ve used it now for over 4 years. Our team at work lives by it. I cannot recommend it enough!
It’s very clear and useful to me
Habit Tracker Needed (checklist type)
Todoist has been crucial in helping me organize my life. The different ways to view task as well as the calendar integration have been especially helpful in helping me keep track of my family, social & professional commitments.
Hands down the best todos app I’ve used. And I’ve used a ton of em. This app is awesome.
I've been using this app for a few years now it's the best! The desktop/mobile is always synced, and everything feels intuitive. Love that different lists are visible in the sidebar. It has really helped with remembering everything. My only feedback is that on ios when I type a day (ex: Tues) and it converts into a tag, I'd expect to be able to just keep typing. Instead I need to put a space after, otherwise it'll untag and become "Tuesgroceries".
I can’t overstate how happy I am with this app.
I’m needing this app for staying on target with recurring weekly/monthly goals. Creating recurring events is inconsistent, it seems to only rely on my written command (typed “every week on a Monday) which sometimes just doesn’t work past 1 day. Most calendars have a clear Repeats button with a distinct frequency setting. I’m using the app for now but this IS a deal Breaker if it keeps being a problem I’ll have to find another app
I’ve been using Todoist for about 2 years. I’m not very good about remembering things, which is where this app comes in clutch. I have numerous different accounts with calendars where I used to keep things, but none of them were in sync, and many of the tasks weren’t time based anyways. If a scheduled task’s planned time was past and I wasn’t done with it, I’d have to reschedule it. With Todoist I just put it in, set a date I plan to work on something then forget about it until it comes up. It g
Todoist has helped me to organize my life and get stuff accomplished. Thanks
I love this app it helps me focus on what I need to do and there’s no ads or anything it’s so easy to use and helps me a lot better with the things I need to do.
This app is my life.
I always have random thoughts on things I should be following up on however, I always forget what they are. Todoist helps me keep track of everything and integrates well with Android and iOS
This app has kept me organized for years. Super user friendly. I use it for every area of my life and it has been great for personal projects as well as work.
What about a color or theme?
I literally cannot see anywhere in the mobile app how many tasks I have due today. The other parts of the update were good, but this outweighs all that
We need a true black theme along with a true black icon. Just like things 3, actually take advantage of oled screens
Ever since iOS 17, I’ve had issues with my widgets. They’re consistently a black rectangle. Please fix! Other than this issue, have never had a problem and love the product. Keep it up.
Great organizing, but a little too much going on
personally, i find the "fire up your web browser and let your browser launch todoist" to be lazy security. also, i don't want to have to opt-out of being on your mailing list. it should be opt-in. i never asked to be subscribed, nor do i want to be and i shouldn't have to explicity unsubscribe. pretty sure this is a no-no in EU and just tacky everywhere else. i sure hope todoist starts to look at security and privacy with the same attention to detail they put into the actual app.
It’s the best productivity app, but that doesn’t mean it’s perfect. What I’d like to see: deadlines, an in-app calendar, and more theme and text customization.
After going through many planners and Apps, I am finally home with ToDOist! Best out there by far, worth the upgrade. Work outstanding with GTD. You can’t go wrong here.
This app has been helpful but one thing i really dont like about it is that whenever i add a date into the title of the thing i need to do (ex: “Lifeguarding orientation April 23), it automatically takes the task and makes it to where i cant see it until the day that it needs to be done. This very much defeats the purpose of having a to do list because i want advance notice for things, i don't want to see them the day of. Please make it possible to keep a task with a date visible in the daily in
This app does just about everything I want for free. You can set ongoing or recurring tasks, assign project names to things, and it automatically updates to show you your most pressing tasks. The only things I wish it had are 1) some archiving capability so you could see what you had worked on last week and 2) I wish there were more project options but you can get that with the premium version.
My to-do list does not need 2FA. Please allow us to opt of of the prompt
I’ve been using Todoist Pro for over 2 years on iOS and my desktop. It has made me less stressed, more productive, and better at prioritizing my work each day. I would describe the app as flexible and powerful, yet still quick and easy to use. It's not bloated, not complicated, and not overwhelming, which makes it an amazing app for managing multiple projects and prioritizing many tasks.
This has had a huge boost on my productivity and organization!!
I love todoist, it helps me run my entire life, for real! I love that I can add items from my Apple Watch, share projects with others, assign tasks to other people, and everything is in real time.
Not a bad app at all but I’ve tried everything and I cannot get it to send notifications. Everything is on in settings and in app but nothing. I even compared to settings with my Google Tasks app but still nothing. I tried to switch to Todoist since it is able to set a day and time automatically via speech (as long as you state the time first). I’m hoping this can be fixed. ~hopeful user
Idk where this app has been all my life.
I’m a high school student who would be failing half my classes without Todoist. I’ve used several planner apps and this is by far the best one I’ve found 👍
Absolutely love the hierarchy of the projects and the sub task option- enabling managing my complex work and life Also the ability yo connect with slack and spark mail is a key -turns message or mail with attachments to a task in Todoist , very powerful 5 stars!
This app right here is Genius.
I personally have been using Todoist for over two years, and have loved it. From the little sound it makes when I check something off, to how customizable it is, no other to do list app stands a chance!!
I’ve been using this app for two years now, and I haven’t found anything nearly as good at keeping me up to date on tasks. It’s a super efficient program, in part because you can access it on any device, including through chrome. The project function is especially useful in keeping track of my assigned homework.
Helps me feel organized and in control of my schedule. Totally recommend!
I’m in the top 1% of users according to them so I’d say I’m a fan.
3 Negative User Reviews for Todoist: To Do List & Calendar
Used to be when I was in a task list, I could tap the kabob menu and select “Show Completed Tasks”. This was really helpful if I fat-fingered a task trying to complete it and I accidentally completed the wrong one. At some point, the “Show Completed Tasks” option disappeared. Did some UI “expert” decide it was unnecessary? It is really annoying that it is gone. I think maybe it moved somewhere else, but I can never find it, so you failed.
Seems useful, but only if you use Google Calendars. Faq is not easy to navigate and the directions to add Outlook do not work, and adding Apple Calendars do not exist. Free version only has a checklist feature, which isn’t different from anything else out there.
I really wanted to like this app but it falls short. The app keeps locking up and it can’t be reset without doing a delete and reinstall. When it works the app is fantastic, but it’s so unstable it’s not useable.
