TomTom - Maps & Traffic App Reviews

I just downloaded TomTom as a replacement for Waze and generally it’s pretty good so far. My only issue is that it is not showing the exit number of my next step, just the street name. Not sure if this is an issue because I’m running it via CarPlay or if it always does that, but the exit number would really be useful.

Can you make it partial screen on CarPlay too?

The graphics are excellent. App lacks seamless CarPlay integration. This is the biggest downside and stops TomTom from being my go-to navigation app. Needs to be viewable on multi-tile screen, and pop-ups when other apps are on full screen. Right now, TomTom feels disjointed in CarPlay.

I like the tomtom app but I think a Apple Watch app would be useful

I like the app but what about rural areas where there's no signal. It would be great if offline maps were included.

Easy to use and accurate

The app is very good, however it would be convenient to be able to sync contacts or import from another app

This is not your traditional GPS, but once you figure it out how to use it, this TomTom works well.

I love using this app, one feature would make it even better, being able to use it in the CarPlay Dashboard view versus full screen

Easy to use and ticks all my boxes

Most accurate traffic information among all the apps. Truly wonderful

App tells me to turn within just feet of my turn instead of ahead of the turn and ducks music all the time instead of just during speech. Doesn’t support the new half screen feature of CarPlay. It’s not quite bad but it’s definitely lacking in details like stop lights and stop signs. Also in certain areas the speed limits are extremely off (gave me 20 mph on a 40 mph road). Edits on TomTom’s website for things like speed limits are extremely cumbersome and slow so I can’t fix a whole city of wro

Hello! Can you add a feature where we can mark where police are as well? It would be greatly appreciated. I would like to be able to fully switch over to this app. I just need to know where police are on highways and parkways. Thank you

Good newer free navigation app from the classic TomTom. Positives: more modern navigation interface than TT Go, free vs paid model, great maps and traffic, good routing. Negatives: loses signal and thus navigation a lot even in 5G with multiple bars, POIs many years out of date, needs microphone search while driving.

I use a few different gps apps and just used this one to take a long trip. Worked perfectly. Would like it, when it hits traffic, to tell me delay time and if available offer me the option to reroute to avoid the traffic. Would also like to see things on the route, such as rest stops. Are these things you can add?

Teheran app will not disconnect when car play is finished, thus draining the battery on iPhone. Have to turn off location service to shut the app down.

Tom-tom GPS is the best GPS

I compare routes here with 3 other apps and they are slower by 1 to 10 minutes. It's a shame because the app graphics are great

Couldn’t find out how, on the iOS version, to adjust the instruction voice’s volume.

I like this app, but would love it if it worked with apple carplay

Going from VT to NYC the app did not use the Taconic Parkway; the fastest way, In fact it did not display it on the map. Unlike the Bing the app this one does not allow user input to change route options. The app doesn't intuitively allow changing start points.

Inferior compared to Apple Maps and Google maps. Does not have traffic lights nor stop signs. Does not indicate what lane to be in. On the plus side, the graphic is good
