Really good Topo. Well worth the 299 pennies.

Overall the app is good for what you get. Could benefit from a redesign though to a slightly more simple and modern design. It would also be nice to mark points and routes through the watch app itself and not just through the phone app. I think if the UI was improved and those features were added, this app could compete against some of the larger more popular apps. Looking forward to future development!

I used to compete in orienteering races. This is like an orienteering map, but easier because it shows where you are.

MacOS version is very hard to navigate map. This app cannot navigate map by mouse control. only two feature mapped to mouse control which is double click to zoomin and mouse wheel to move North and South of map. There is no manual for MacOS(Desktop version) of this app. You can navigate map with cursor key but when UI focus is not in the map cursor key won't work. Most of it seems to be good but very painful to plan my route or scout where we hike.

The app is fine. It works well enough and I appreciate the low cost, one-time purchase pricing on maps. Subscription apps are trash. The issue I have is the lack of trail maps/layers. The only option I can find is “mountainbike trails” which doesn’t seem to populate the hiking trails I’m looking for when backpacking. It’s especially odd since I can manually set waypoints and create a route that seems to follow the trails that are there, but the trails themselves are not visible. Very strange.

Seemed like it was going to solve all my problems: one-time map purchases rather than subscriptions, and supports phone, tablet, and computer. Unfortunately the map, at least the one I've purchased, is quite limited in resolution – you can't zoom very far in, even though the (free) map source it uses has more detail. It's ok for driving and casual browsing, but not sufficient for hiking. On top of that I got no response from the developer when reporting this. Finally the UX needs improvement, fo

The strength of this app is that it finds great routes all over the world. While some apps work decently in certain regions, for example Google Maps in the US, they do not perform well elsewhere. I used Topo GPS in North America, Europe and Asia in three different countries on each continent, and always got good results, often those that a local would pick, both for hiking and biking.

Took me 3 hours to just download an area of 1.8GB
