Very accurate when I needed

I have used this app for many years, mainly for backpacking. Everything works off cell connection and battery usage is very low. The best part is the app is designed by who hole in the backcountry so the features are spot on.

Use it for marking all my locations. Stands, scrapes, cameras, etc. love it

I’m the search and recovery deputy for a county close to the Texas/Mexico border. We have many border crossers that die in the brush trying go north without being caught. Many don’t make it. Using this app allows me to see where I have been so I can better plan my searches to find the deceased, recovery them, and start the return trip to their families. I would not be as effective without this app. Thank you for its creation.

I’ve been using the app for 5years. I compare my stats with other people in my group to see how close they are. Two days ago I did The Narrows top to bottom in Zion National Park. It said I hiked a little over 29 miles! The trail is only 15miles! That’s a little bit of a discrepancy.

The maps are good. But when I zoom in on an area, the text shrinks even more instead of enlarging. So I have to zoom in so far to read the text, and then I lose perspective of the map again. Zoom in, zoom out. Zoom in, zoom out. Can the developer make the text enlarge with the map so I can read what I’m looking at with a greater area view?

This app is insanely amazing and so wonderful. So glad that I know about it. ❤️

Young bucks and OG’s make me really enjoy trekking on trails or thick timber. Very accurate within feet. Of markings and way points. More overlays than you can ever probably use and easy to share with group members.

The ability to import a custom map and navigate on both phone and watch was exactly what I was looking for. It’s genuinely making my hikes more satisfying, being able to just glance at my watch at a tricky intersection. Easily worth the Pro subscription. Thanks for such a well thought-through and solidly built app!

Used to love it. But now it won’t let me see whole tiles. I’ve used this app for years. Am now very disappointed.

I backpack and peak climb in the Sierras a lot, and this app is perfect for what I need. I use it both on my iPhone and Apple Watch. It has so many great features. Too many to list. Compared it with OnX Backcountry, and this app is much better.

Unlike the popular hiking apps that serve city folk with curated routes and guidenook interfaces, Topo Maps+ is for serious outdoor use offline. This app takes map and compass to the next level. Have used offline across the High Sierra, on several high altitude alpine climbs, and during 2 European excursions. Worth every penny.

I like the software so far and it allows me to look at property lines unfortunately the price for it for 90 days is $45 it’s too pricey you need to have some more tiered price arrangement in a lot for pro features with perhaps a yearly subscription

I do a lot of off-trail backpacking and I have loved this app for route finding.

Very accurate and reliable. Even without cell service. Every hiker should have this app on their phone. Especially if you go off trail.

I am more of a youtube learner.. any chance of putting up someone in the field making videos of how to use the many features?

Great tool for planning hikes

This is a great tool to have, especially if you’re planning adventure trips outdoors ,I’m able to plan are route and lead are group , I feel confident with this to get to are destination and I get to lead our group in ste SXS and not eat anybody’s dust and while I’m doing this, I’m also recording and stored the tracks in route folder I also uses on walks to see how many miles I put in Tony

The app seems to work ok, but figuring out how everything works by trial and error is a huge waste of time. Are there any online tutorials that we can access to see if the app even does the things we want it to do?

Been using Topo Maps+ on my iPhone for years and love it. Now just started using it for runs and hikes on my newly purchased Apple Watch. So many great features. Offline routes and downloaded maps are perfect for climbing peaks in the Sierras using my watch only without my phone.

I think this map would be very good, but I really don’t want to commit to the full price $$ before I can see how it’s gonna work on my phone and my watch. Even a 30 minute trial would be nice just to make sure everything is going to be compatible and work as I need to. Update: there is no link in the upper left-hand corner for a trial.

The app will sometimes show the route you are traveling, and other times - inexplicably- your path does not show, until the hike is completed. The help center is also not working. I’ll be cancelling the subscription.
