20 Positive User Reviews for Transit Stop: CTA Tracker.
Good service
TS provides me with exact immediate up todate bus schedule.
GOOD RIDE
I made it from Uptown Buena Park to Lakeview West 37 minutes
Great app helps tremendously
Ability for me to decide on what color train to ride into office. Especially when it’s cold in Chicago. accurate and surely helps on utilizing the various L track trains to shuttle me to connecting Metra suburban train routes. Incredible app. On the minute live updates
Poor signage
Many of reader boards are out of order. No reader board at Michigan avenue and Erie.
Riding as a Chicagoan
Great App. Sometimes updates on ghost busses/trains can be frustrating, but the app does help me find alternatives. I dig it👌🏽
Times not consistent
The beginning of certain stops are wildly inconsistent and change on a dime. Mostly on first and second stops of a route. It makes it impossible to time correctly if you live near that. Really inconvenient in bad weather. The X9 Ashland is the worst.
Almost perfect
I would give this app 5 stars but for one thing. I wish when you favorited a bus stop it contained both directions in one entry so you could just flip between them instead of having both directions clutter my favorites.
Love it
It’s honestly a useful app, and it’s straightforward. The only problem I have are the random updates; otherwise, it’s an excellent app.
Excellent
Excellent information. Tells me when the 65 grand is not going to show up.
Best for Bus Stops
This app is the most accurate for the timing of buses in Chicago. Google and the Ventra app tend to be off.
In the know
Feels really good to know when my bus is coming. I have time to plan and the bus comes on time!
Solid app
Generally a solid app to help figure out when the train is coming. I would like a better UX for switching between trains, stops and inbound/outbound. Trying to do this can be a bit clunky.
I appreciate the simplicity of the app
However, the simplicity of the design can make it a bit more of a hassle to try to quickly change stop information of the same route because you have to start from the beginning with the app to find information you need. Also, sometimes the time information is off by a minute or two which incorrect information made me miss the last train, when I got the impression that the train was 1 minute away when in fact it has already passed. Not crapping on the developers, life happens.
Reliable most days!
Having this app does help navigate my way around this big city Chicago
App works great! Just a suggestion
I’ve been using the app for about a year and have only had minor issues once or twice. I feel like saving the bus or train stop could be expanded upon. I have many places to travel and it would be nice if folders were added. I’m a very messy person and it would be great help.
99% accuracy on time rate
I’ve been using the CTA tracker since it’s existence. It’s been nothing short of excellent for me. Time displayed & arrival of bus or “L” has been within a 1 or 2 minute differential. I also love the fact that there is a map that will show you the exact location of the bus or “L” so you can time your sprint (if you have to run for it), I appreciate the service. It’s a great tool to have.
3 Negative User Reviews for Transit Stop: CTA Tracker.
Used to be great
This has been my go-to transit app for many years in Chicago. But it’s fallen off lately. I’ve been late for work many times because it seldom updates for recent route changes or simply doesn’t show several incoming trains/buses. For example, it may say the next southbound redline train is in 18 minutes, but there are actually 3 trains that come before that. I’m not sure if it’s a bug or info from the cta that’s the issue, but I using the ventra app more often now because it’s been far more acc
Not working for me
App was work great till this morning now won’t load up anything my other apps working fine
Confusing and cumbersome
This app needs a lot of help. It’s difficult to get to the information you need, especially if you are trying to plan a trip. Also, too much advertising.
