Can’t figure out how to change currency default permanently. Can I share with other trip goers? Easy to use. Have used plenty!!

This app is a life saver and time saver.

I use tripsplitter on every trip with other people. It works great and everyone appreciates me keeping track of all the expenses.

I just came back from a 9-day trip to Paris with 5 friends (2 couples and 2 singles). The Trip Splitter app was the PERFECT way to keep track of everything we spent in UDS and Euros. I can’t put a value on how much time, effort, and stress the app saved us!!! THANK YOU!!!

I have used this for years for trips with friends. I agree with other comments that the UI is a bit funky. Handling currency changes is confusing, and they could definitely use a “percent share” option for unbalanced expenses. E.g., 3 people where one person eats only an appetizer, we want to split 40/40/20% (same with having two couples and a single person). Instead you have to fill in actual amounts and the last amount is filled in to complete the tab. The “Even Up” button is the best part,

Overall great app and I’ve used it for years amongst friends. The currency setup/conversion is a bit confusing and I wish there were some UX enhancements and that this was cloud based and could be shared across multiple users. Have used this app for groups as small as 2 to 15 people. It definitely is a bit harder to use with larger groups but still works fine.

I’ve used this app for years. It’s super simple and provides nice documentation. Wish the money part had a calculator so one needn’t exit to get to a calc. Write down the amount and type it in again.

Best way to manage splitting expenses during your trip. 5 Star. The reports are very detailed and well presented. Suggestions: should consider the options of languages for each trip. Define currency exchange rates in batches or for the whole trip.

We tried several apps, and this one served our needs perfectly on a road trip around the UK. It was very easy to use for sharing expenses. Then, the ability to email those detailed expenses as the trip progressed kept everyone in the loop on a regular basis. Additional items I would like to see: 1. Ability to select icons to be used for each new trip setup 2. Change the “Gas pump” icon to a car so it can be used for anything related to Automotive - Gas, Rental car, Car park fees, Road/

I’ve been using this app for more than 10 years now, and it is a must have for travel with friends and family. It makes it easy to track/split out costs, even with multiple currencies within one trip. The only downside is that it depends on one person, being the keeper of the expenses, rather than sharing a trip with all the travelers to update as you go.
