UK Map App Reviews

Just returned from a two week driving trip through Yorkshire, the Lake District and North Wales and cannot say enough good things about this app. I had my Nuvi GPS also but had no need for it with UK Map on the iPad. I was always pinpointed on the map and every road no matter how narrow or rural was shown. Reasonable program but has it's limits. My main use would be for offline mapping with no internet support so I wanted a program with nice map/waypoint downloading capabilities. Map downloads limited to the newer UK Ordinance Survey maps. These maps do not have as much detail as do the older maps, particularly in regard to old megalithic sites (the main reason I bought the program). Downloading map areas works quite well. However, the 25K and 10K scale maps don't seem to be a lot different

Spent 2 weeks in Scotland with a car that wouldn't let our Garmin recharge. This was a perfect resource as it not only showed us where we were going but also surrounding points of interest. We were also able to use it on hikes and the downloaded Ordinance maps was great in detail. Would recommend to anyone with iPad going to the UK.

This app was exactly what my family needed during our last visit to England. We drove from London to York and never got lost once, thanks to this app and the rental cars gps (which occasionally malfunctioned). More detail than you get with a rental car map, so we were able to route around problem areas and go exploring on weekends. Loved it!

We recently completed the Coast to Coast trail in Cumbria and North Yorkshire. We were never lost and always knew where we were thanks to this app. The combination of OS maps and Openmaps trail and path information provides an essential tool for the walker. Other comments complaining about the cost of this app are ridiculous. This app costs less than a single paper map yet covers the whole of Britain. Thank you for a superior product.

This is the map app I use the most. The maps (essentially OS) maps are the best available. It doesn't do navigation like google maps but the maps themselves are way better. Truly excellent for hiking and general travel, and much much cheaper than the similar OS app, since the maps these early are free. Highly recommended.

this app looked very good at first, and then when i zoomed in i could not zoom back out. i exited the program and when i went back in it was still zoomed in..?
