It’s a good show!

I’ve tried many similar apps, and I find Universalis, with its paid upgrades to be the most pleasant and edifying way to pray the Liturgy of the Hours. Martin has a very pleasant speaking voice, and his cadence is perfect for the psalms and the readings.

Tops. This is by far the best app of its type for Catholics interested in celebrating the liturgy of the hours and in seeking commentaries for Mass.

The most well developed and functionally sublime Catholic prayer app available… Incredibly helpful and it has enabled a wonderful spiritual deepening for me.. Thanks so much for your dedication towards helping us towards Christ…

Not only does Universalis have the Liturgy of the Hours and Mass but it has Spiritual Readings, the Angelus, Lectio Divina, and the Rosary. It also has a commentary on the Mass readings of the day. And the Mass has other language options besides English. Plus, it has a few books you can read. It is invaluable.

I have been using Universalis for many years and I enjoy it more now than ever. I converted to Catholicism over 20 years ago and found Universalis on my journey into the Catholic Church when I was going through RCIA (now OCIA). I wanted to start praying the Liturgy of Hours and thankfully found Universalis which made praying the Hours so much easier and less intimidating. I love the Liturgy of the Hours and all the additional help, prayers, history, and insights provided by Universalis! Keep

I am in the military and internet access is often an issue. I Love that there is No need for internet connection. Always works and always works fast and all that I need.

Without Universalis, my prayer week would descend into a hodgepodge of random devotionals and scattered Bible study.

Love the Latin and English side by side on the iPad. Very easy to use, which encourages frequent use. Also useful for study. Hoping for Spanish language support soon.

A very helpful app, but UK users should be aware that the readings for the Office of Readings appear to use the US translation rather than the UK translation (fortunately, most other readings for other offices of the day do match the UK translations, though I’ve found a few that don’t match)

I can’t believe how little this cost me for how much it has benefitted me over the time since I bought it. I love the push notifications that come to my watch and how they are set up.

I have been using this app for years now. I appreciate those who has been managing this application.However ,I want to bring to your notice the fact that there is no ablution prayer in the application.The prayer often said by the priest while cleaning the sacred vessels after holy communion. I am a Catholic priest and I feel that is part of the Eucharist liturgy.

Wonderful Liturgy of the Hours app with customizable features and easy access for all users. I start and end my day with this beautiful app. Truly an amazing experience for everyone.

Love it! No need for internet connection and responses so quickly with adjustments and options.

The app is always getting improvements and I really appreciate that. One more request: when the prayers are being read, have the Watch app open the now playing app so that the volume etc. can be controlled. Right now the Watch app opens Universalis to the scripture readings of the day which is not at all useful since you are praying the hours.

So easy to use and extremely user friendly. Best app for me to pray Hours.

Provides daily inspiration transforming into something better

I have grown more and more over the years with this app. As my spiritual appetite has increased I have discovered more of what Universalis offers and is able to feed me to draw closer to the Holy Ghost, Jesus and God the Father. Soli Deo Gloria.

I use Universalis daily to prepare for Daily Holy Mass, not only I consult but also use to prepare homilies by readings the commentaries to the readings and the Gospel… Thank you!

The Universalis app makes praying the Liturgy of the Hours so easy to learn. It helps build a habit of praying, especially with the reminders you can set. I appreciate some of the finer details like being able to choose the font size and the ease of navigation. This app is on my home page, so often do I use it!

Why are you no longer showing the 2nd reading for Mass?

Universalis a wonderful app for today that we can carry with us where we go on our phone and pray the office during the day. It is both inspirational and educational.. Sometimes there is a problem though when I stop a reading and then try to continue it then goes back to the beginning of the office. I wish they could fix that glitch.. but I am very grateful for this app.

This is the perfect app for anyone looking to spend more time in prayer or become more involved in the church liturgy. Even if you only have a few minutes to spare, you can pull out your Universalis app and spend some time in prayer. Everything is very well laid out and easy to use. Very grateful for this app!

This is, hands down, my favorite app - all the way to the monthly e-mails I get letting me know of any updates and changes. Thank you to all who obviously work so hard to make this happen and that you make the readings so pleasant to listen to. Lately I’ve been praying the Liturgy of the Hours with Universalis rather than with the “American” version I’ve used for years and it’s SO beautiful! Thank you all again! (P.S. This is a great app and worth all the money, I just wish this app had the movements (when to kneel, bow, etc) during the liturgy of the hours. Maybe it could be optional to turn on?

This is what I read as soon as I wake up early in the morning to start my day and before I sleep. This makes me closer to God. I thank God for this Universalis which I learn a lot and still learning.

I had been trying to find an app supporting the Liturgy of the Hours and this one is perfect. Not only does it provide the material but it is flexible as far as presentation and usability. My best app purchase.

This is a great Liturgy of the Hours tool. Also, the commentary that accompanies the Readings at Mass are very instructive.

The lit screen is much easier to read than the print in my Liturgy of the Hours book, and I can take it anywhere with me, especially when I travel.

As a Catholic, and more specifically as a lector, I find Universalis to be an essential part of my daily practice of the faith. From the About Today section through the Litany of the Hours to the daily readings at Mass, Universalis is the basis of my prayer life.

This has been a game changer for me in terms of opening up the Liturgy of the Hours to me as a lay person. I tried to learn how to do it with all the ribbons in a print version…but I just didn’t have enough brain space available to pull it off. Universalis has made it all easy so I can focus on the actual prayer. It’s such a relief. Also, I just paid once and I’m always up to date. I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.

This is the best daily app for insights on the readings, and prayer in general. It’s the place to start your day.

This is one of my favorite prayer apps. Because now that it’s the season of Lent, I can put this app to good use. Not just during Lent but during Holy Week and Good Friday and during the Easter season and other liturgical seasons. Ordinary time and Advent and Christmas.

I had been using the Divine Office and now deciding their Hymns to be like a cookie cutter…same authors/music and other generic qualities that I’ve noticed over time. Now I’ve paid for Universalis, and never happier I be now!! It’s more than worth the price.
