I love this app especially when your on vacation because then you know when a good time to tan is and it gives you a good tanning routine and it’s nice to know when your at a sunburn risk since I go to Florida a lot this app is perfect
I don’t appreciate the uv changing every 30 minutes. It’s said it was going to be a uv of 7 at 1:00 and when I went outside and checked it it said it was only a uv of 4. It does this every day and I’m tired of it.
Best such app I’ve found but i wish it would notify at multiple UV levels instead of just one. Also a “go get some Vitamin D” notification would be nice when i haven’t met my goal by X hours before sunset.
love this app! super pale so always checking UV, it has all the features I would want, notifies me the hours when UV is high and when it’s above a certain point and the widget is great and the forecast is amazing 10/10
Why do they charge 25$ a year for data that is in the public domain?
What happened to the widgets???? Not available now!!!
I have Very white skin and burn Very easily. For the first time in my life, I’m actually able to get through an entire summer without burning and even getting a little bit of a tan! I can’t thank the creators of this app enough!!
I love that it tells you the time of the uv and that it tells you when you could get a sunburn. Also tells you what type of sunscreen to you I love the app so much. 10/10 definitely recommend 💯.
Disappointed that the forecast is limited to just today and tomorrow. Requires a purchased Pro” version to see beyond that. A week doesn’t seem unreasonable in the free version.
those apps helps me in enjoy the outdoors without getting too much UV exposure. Even when it’s overcast, UV could be fairly high. This app will inform you the best times a day for healthy sun exposure.
I live in Florida and spend a lot of time outside. The widget is super handy so I can open my phone and see anytime what the UV index is on the home screen
I have watchOS 10.4 installed and was anxious to try the revamped UV index watch app. But when I add the app, the icon doesn’t appear on my watch. I have no problem adding other apps so it must be a bug which I’m sure will be fixed. So I’m still giving 5 stars!
I love this all cause I can add it to a widget and just see the UV on my Home Screen it’s very convenient and it tell you the precise UV like for instance (7.6) something like that it’s great
I use this app everyday to track how intense the sun is going to be today. I wish there was a way for it to track the cumulative amount of sun that you receive much like the movement tracking on the Apple Fitness app. Then when the sun is down, add that data to the health app. It needs more options for clothing coverage such as a hat, combo for shorts and long sleeve shirts. Overall it’s a great version 1.4 but a version 1.9 with these options would be just fantastic.
I live in Florida and find it very helpful to avoid sunburn. Like the skin type factor and sun screen level input.
All I wish is it’d use the “Time in Daylight” feature on the Apple Watch so it could track how much sunlight you’ve had automatically which would be perfect for SunScreen and Vitamin D Tracking

I love that it warns you when you’re getting too much sun. I plan playdates around when lower UV days and times are.
Fireeeeeeeeeee
It's really good an I love it so much because it helped my determine my skin type. The only confusing part was that whenever I would see when the UV would go lower the time kept changing. For example I would drag the little circle over and it said it dropped to 7.9 at 1:30 but then when I did it again it said it wouldn't drop until 1:55. Overall I would recommend this app
I am a level two Fitzpatrick skin type and have had several bad burns throughout my life. This is a great way to monitor metrics for possible burns, UV exposure, vitamin D, and it works seamlessly in any location I’ve been in. Highly recommend
Have been using this app for years. Gives great visuals. Love to track my UV exposure, and it integrates seamlessly with Apple Health. *One update I’d like to see is the addition of higher sunscreen SPFs. Current version only goes to 50 SPF, but there are sunscreens on the market now as high as 110 SPF ☀️
Very helpful and informational to protect yourself in the sun. It would be a really cool upgrade if the app could use data from Apple health to automatically sense time outdoors and prompt for sun protection and tracking automatically.
TLDR; Amazing app, incredible developer communication. The features in the app work flawlessly, and intuitively. I had a question for the developer and sent an email. They responded in just a few hours with more detail than I expected.
Also love it’s free I nearly check it daily.
This is a good app. I have skin cancers on my face and arms, and the app lets me know how much UV radiation I’m exposed to at different times of day.
Love this app, so useful for bleaching shirts! Thanks!!!
so useful for beach bums
This is a great app.
I reference this app daily to strategically choose my daily sun protection. I have been using this app for a little over two years and am so much more aware of the UV index and the potential for skin damage.
With much more detailed information than the weather app, along with the ability to track your sun exposure, this app is certainly worth the nominal price.
One of the most useful apps. I love the simplicity of the interface, how easy it is for everyone to use and the thoughtful design. A+
Lately the UV index seems off when compared to other websites. I don’t understand how NYC UV index is a high of 4 in February on a day with heavy overcast and rain or or fog.
Great, quick reference for current and future UV ratings.
Great app. Many ways to review UV in the environment

I don’t know what I’m doing wrong but like right now this app says uv is 5. The skies are blue. But it says not enough uv to make vitamin D. It’s been doing this a lot lately. I also have the dminder app as it tracks your approximate vitamin D level and it is saying there’s plenty of uv to make vitamin D so for some reason your app isn’t working right for me. It also will cut short the uv by an hour every day. Wish this worked as I like the interface.
This is a useful app and I like the widgets, but I’m absolutely not going to pay some way overpriced subscription for something I can get for free, albeit slightly less conveniently.
