Awesome App

I find this very useful.

Good. Could be great

Hey dev team. It’s great having options, could you please add a feature where an image can be saved to the roll like a screenshot to include the exposure and time data? Or even better, an option to save 2 versions of the image. One of just the image as shot and one with all the exposure data (and date/time) visible in the image. Please and Thanks for a really useful tool!

It needs an update

It needs an update, some of the films aren’t even accessible anymore. While more accessible films aren’t. Like for example Kodak gold 200 is not in there . Fuji 400h is beautiful film but out of production. You should consider it . :)

More film stock choices

It’s good but if your using film like sin still BW XX or kentmere good luck it would be nice to have more film stock to use in the selection of film

The Best App

This app is the closest thing to film / analog photography. I usually shoot Fuji GX617, and this app helps me premeditate the shots before I commit to the actual photo.

Exposure offset

When you close the app it resets the exposure offset to zero no matter whether the clear button is ticked or not. Is there a way to make that “permanent” (until I change it)? Reason I ask, I want this to emulate my Pentax Digital Spot meter, which I have calculated to be +2-2/3. Recently I was out photographing with my 8x10” camera after a long pause, and the battery in my meter had died. None of the light meter apps do what I want, but this one is the best of the bunch.

Mind blown

The features on this app are really useful, definitely a game changer when it comes to visualization and an amazing tool for metering.

Great App

This is a great and inexpensive app for viewfinding. I use 4x5 and you can set your own focal length and format. Highly recommend!!!!!

Fantastic App

Fantastic App that is flexible and adjustable.

Perfect

This is exactly what I was looking for while learning medium format shooting.

Wow

This app is great only wish that they had more film to use like sims til xx bw other than that it’s great

this is the app I search for so long

although I spend some money on it but in fact this is the app I want for a long time. when I was taking film pictures I need a app can preview the lightmeter sets so much .not mentioned it also can record it to the gallery. one little suggestion: maybe we can add a config to choose whether the config automatically show on the side of pictures.

Needs some tweaking maybe?

Updated my stars to 3 will go to 5 if fully implemented. Need 6x17 and other aspect ratios like 65x24 On our fuji 50s. Limited by aspect ratios. Also when using non full frame are the focal lengths for the sensor chosen or Fframe equivalent? Tutorial? A video online could be helpful

Very useful app! Solves a lot of problems

This is a very useful app film shooters. It solves sever problems. > It helps you pre-visulize the shot with the lens and film stock. > It has a histogram. > It allows you to long your photos and take notes. Much easier than a notebook. I would recomend this app for film shooters.

Awesome app

Here is your pocket rocket! You can also save images as tiff.

AMAZING!

This app is truly amazing! I shoot medium format film. Before I pull my cameras out, I pull out my phone, launch this app, and I compose my scene with it. I can change focal lengths, introduce filters, different film stocks, etc. I can even use the app as a lightmeter to determine what can settings I may want to use! I always pass on "Five Stars" recommendations to fellow photographers!

Great but might need an update for new iPhone

I love this app, the ease of use and film emulations are awesome! However, on my 14 Pro the field of view on 35mm and 50mm doesn’t seem to be correct. The 50 looks more like about 60. I’d like to use it for framing and metering all in one but it isn’t quite there. If this gets updated it’s 5 stars easily.

Extremely useful for the right user

I originally got this app to visualize various lenses on my digital camera. It did that very well. I recently discovered you can also use it as a good simulator of camera / lens combinations for shooting with the iPhone camera. The one minor annoyance is when shooting at a cropped setting the resulting image has a tiny 1px border, but that’s a minor quibble. A great app.

Not sure

I downloaded the app made the 3.99 in app purchase now every time I open app it only shows the purchase screen. iOS 16 on iphone11 pro max . ………… update after a few spam calls the app works and I can get into it now to set it up . Only giving 3 stars because my first review Disappeared and it was clunky to use at first . It does do as advertised though . Don’t let my sour experience keep you all from getting this.

My favorite New app!

If you shoot film, you will love this app. Pick you camera/lens/film stock combo and let the visualization begin.

Incredible

I have carried a viewing card for decades. But not only does this app show me the framing and have the wonderful benefit of getting my itchy trigger finger off the shutter button when viewing through the viewfinder, for black-and-white it actually shows me the total range and this is invaluable. And now I always have my viewing card with me. Fantastic app.

Great Viewfinder App

By far my favorite viewfinder app. The only features missing are options to display grid lines, levels, and focus distance. While it doesn’t seem that focus distance can be easily and accurately calculated, grid lines and levels should be easy to implement so I’d love to see them in the next update. Thank you!

Perfect for my needs!

This is exactly what I was looking for, and the combination of presets and customization help a lot in planning what lenses to take with me or to help plan future lens purchases for various film formats. Fantastic!

Nice App. Works well!

I am glad I bought this app. It is nice to double check the cameras exposure meter. Please add more focal lengths. Especially wider. Thank you!

Improvement

It would be a big help if you can add lenses from 65mm to 300 mm T and 400mm T to the large format section and all lens choices in between.

Great for large format

This app is really best for large format shooters. So glad to have found it. I love how I can enter my own lens focal lengths—and even the film emulator is not bad. Simple, clean, no useless bells and whistles. Great job folks!

Great App

Love this app for preplanning architectural shoots. I wish the photos that were saved to the camera roll were watermarked with the camera data or has that option.

Great app, does as it says, very stable, one feature request

Wonderful app, totally worth the price. One feature request: show the focusing distance used for the preview. The rangefinder on my 4x5 camera is broken and I’d love to use the app to find focus distance.

Worth. It.

Log your analog photos, get a meter reading, add notes, add film/camera/lens to preview - amazing.

Amazing app

This app keeps getting better. Previous to this latest version, the only thing I could think of that it was missing were simulated color filters. Guess what!? The latest version has it! Incredible! Really worth downloading and using this app.

It just works!!!

Love it especially for large format to record my shot info in reference to holders!

Love it

Love this app. Just wish it had more emulsions and filter simulations

Viewfinder

Great idea, very useful...3/4/2021 Uve added filters for BW film. Great app, now even better, thankyou

Please add wider focal lengths!

Great app but would love to see wider focal lengths, specifically on 4x5, like a 90mm. Should be able to be done with the new wide angle lens post-iPhone 11?

Doesn’t retain info for long

I loved this app when I first discovered it, but it seems to not retain the notes I enter for long. I made several photographs and added all of my notes I wished to make and a few weeks later when I was ready to develop my film, all of those notes were gone. I had about 10 sheets of film that needed different development, but that info was gone. I decided to just develop them all together for a Normal development time, resulting in some getting too much development and others not enough.

Access to all my photos?

Why is that needed?
