Voodoo Detective App Reviews

One of the best adventure games I’ve ever played. And I play a lot of adventure games. It looks like a 90s Don Bluth animated film, the puzzles are logical, not easy, but logical once you get into the culture of New Ginen and the Voodoo Detective. You know an adventure game is good when you finish and say “that should be a movie or a streaming series or something.” This is that kind of game.

I love a good point and click. Carmen San Diego type vibes. This was super fun but no way of getting through it without a little help. Just some things were way too far fetched if you will. No way I would’ve thought to do certain things. Fun game still!

Great animation style and clever puzzles. And the voice acting was excellent. Really brought the characters alive.

It took a minute or two to figure out a few things in this game, but once I did, it was a lot of fun. I'm going to try it again with the different settings you can choose for the detective. Now that I know the basics, I know I'll enjoy the subtle nuances and get even more enjoyment out of it.

I had my eye on this game for a while but wasn’t sure if I wanted to spend $15 on a mobile game. The other reviews convinced me. This isn’t a game where there are puzzles to solve, most of the gameplay is in the interactions you have with characters. The dialogue and wordplay is funny but I wished there was just more to the game. Other than the scene in the underworld and the final battle.. it just seemed way too easy. I guess if you’re looking for a casual chill game, that’s fine but I was hopi

Starts off a bit slow, then all of a sudden, you're locked into a compelling storylines with twists and turns. It's a choose your own adventure game, and I enjoyed the alternive stories. Fun!

Awesome point and click adventure! Had fun while also learning a bit about the voodoo culture. Animation/graphics are nice. Also, loveee the fact that you can have multiple outcomes to the game! 2 thumbs up Dev!

I was expecting more out of a $15 game. I thought it would be puzzles but it’s mostly just dialogue with characters and very little piecing things together. Also, I hate to say it, but there are definite racial undertones in this game. The Voodoo Detective HATES the tourists (who are all white) and he loves the locals (who are black). Great characters, fun storyline, decent puzzles! Highly rec if you like games like Full Throttle, Monkey Island(s), Kathy Rain, etc.

Adventure game, check. Fun game, check. Offbeat humor, check. Great backgrounds, check. Perfect music per scene, yep. Superb voiceovers, you get the gist. Sometimes tricky, sometimes really clever, sometimes just really cute. Talk about traversing and cursing. This is something Dr. John and Gregg Rolie would enjoy (sorry, you’ll have to do some research there.)

Awesome game I love the story and the hand drawn graphics but for the price it should have been way longer, I’ve played free games that have been longer than this.

One of the best point and click adventure games I have ever played and I played a ton of them. This it Lucas Arts quality all over it. The writing is great, the voice acting is top-notch, the characters were very likable, it was clever and funny. The items you use made sense and Grammies book was a great way to assist without giving you the answers. Please make another like this, or a sequel! This was great!

Reminds me a lot of the Broken Sword adventure series. Although it felt a bit pricey, it was well worth the money since I take my time with these point-and-click adventures and due to the art and music. I hope to see more games from this developer!!

I love the Blackwell games and other point and click detective games with a touch of supernatural. Absolutely loved this one!

I'm a huge fan of point and clock adventure games and this game did not disappoint. This game is full of beautiful art work , humor , action and fun logical puzzles .

I’ve never spent so much on an iOS game, but it far surpassed my expectations and was absolutely worth the price. It was a beautifully challenging game and had so many different layers! Just when I thought the game was over, a new scene with its own new challenges popped up.

This is more than I’ve ever spent on a phone game, and I was skeptical. It ended up being EXACTLY the type of game I wanted. It filled the hole left by the point and click adventure games of the 90s (Monkey Island, King’s Quest, various LucasArts adventures). Really well thought out game with great art and playability. I cannot wait for another from this studio, so let’s keep the pressure on 😉

There are so, so few reviews on this game, so I thought I'd write one. I really enjoy point and click mystery games and this one is well made and I enjoyed playing it. The story was interesting, animation is very pretty, the dialogue and characters are fun, the use of spells is unique, and overall it was a good experience. I hope they come out with more games like this, I really liked it

This game was well thought out with funny and quirky characters. I had no issues with gameplay at all on iphone 11. Very nicely animated - great and different story and challenging enough puzzles that keep you interested.

Just started this game, played for an hour, is a fun point & click adventure with great voice acting & beautiful graphics, runs great so far on my iPhone 13. Will update after

The story was mediocre. The puzzles were too hard & too easy. Overall not worth the $
