13 Positive User Reviews for Weather on the Way
Great app!
Great app that is simple to use
Great travel tool!!
This has helped us many time to decide the safest route for our trip.
Radar 10 Minutes
Would be nice if choices were available on radar update.
Incredibly Smart App!
Driving through the Siskiyous this app was critical to my timing, planning, and snow chain awareness!
Only things i wish I could customize which would allow me to fully utilize the app are the alert/ next turn color, since bright orange at night was too much for me, and the voice- wow- i lasted about 15mins before changing back to google maps for navigation lol but the orange was eating at me the entire time.
With those 2 changes i would have used this app to navigate the entire trip!
A must
I really like this app. It’s a must for helping to plan my trips. The realtime road and weather conditions are excellent.
Tight forecast window
I’ve had the app for a couple years. Now the new version requires the PRO version (more $$) to get forecasts/road conditions more than 12 hours out.
This App Rocks!
My background is emergency management. I need to know the latest when it comes time to weather. The product meets my needs perfectly.
Roadway Conditions are missing
Does not show what pavement/driving conditions are now/likely to be when I get there, e.g. pavement dry and bare; standing water; snow & slush; frozen snow or ice.
Also disappointed at only being shown 2 optional routes for driving from point A to point B. Waypoints would maybe allow me to create custom route.
CarPlay
Latest update it won’t let you to use CarPlay unless you subscribe to the pro.
Amazing
Use this app to get me across the country multiple times love this app pretty accurate for the most part would say about 90% of the time.

2 Negative User Reviews for Weather on the Way
Not at all accurate for road conditions
OnTheWayApp gets one thing right: temperature forecasts and the “chain up / carry chains” zones were accurate. That’s it.
Everything else has been unreliable. Multiple times on high-mileage trips this past week, the app showed clear road conditions and clear weather when that was absolutely not the case. It repeatedly failed to flag the stuff that actually matters for travel—slick and icy roads, fog, snowy conditions, and other hazards you need to know about before you commit to a route.
