Weather up ⬆️ app
The weather ⬆️ app is very nice 👍🏾; you can view a 🔟 day forecast, even view forecast from different states if you live in the states and also you can view forecasts from around the world 🌍
Highest information density for the Watch
I use the Modular Ultra watch face on my Apple Watch and I love the Complication from Weather Up. It shows me the current temp, upcoming highs and lows, and expected conditions (including cloudiness and precipitation) for the next 2.5 days on my watch face. This is a triumph of visual design.
Like it
Fairly accurate forecast and I like the rain and images.
Great app but doesn’t support analog watch faces
Love this on iOS and iPadOS but I got it to use on my Infograph watch face. Unfortunately the app only supports digital faces, which renders it useless for me. I would normally rate such a flaw as only one star (especially since the App Store listing boasts watch compatibility) but I raised this to three since the rest of the app is great. PLEASE ADD SUPPORT FOR ANALOG WATCH FACES and I will subscribe.
Favorite Weather App
This is my favorite weather app and has been for some time. I love the map-based interface and the accuracy. My two wishes are for a smaller Home Screen widget option showing current conditions, and a larger Lock Screen widget showing temperature and conditions.
Fantastic weather app with great widgets
Accurate, fast, and supports all the native features you might want.
Weather Information at my fingertips
I love how quickly I can get an overview and detailed weather info from Weather Up. I love the information density of the Weather Up widgets, especially on my Apple Watch, and that the Doppler radar information is prominently featured in the app.
Making a Comeback.
There’s a lot to like about this weather app, but it slowly became one I never used. The Apple Weather app has become really good, with simple info available at the forefront, and TONS of details if you dive deeper. Other weather apps just couldn’t compare.
But Weather Up has been given a new spot on my phone with its interactive Home Screen widget. Hands down the best way to currently see the weather data you want. I hope this is a sign there will be more feature improvements coming, and not a
Thoughtfully Designed Weather App!
I have used several weather apps and Weather Up has become my favorite. The widget and map-centric approach is an inspired design choice and makes it compelling to use on the iPhone, the iPad, and Apple Watch.
I enjoyed listening to the developer interview on The Talk Show, which provided interesting insights into the thinking behind making the app.
The support is very responsive and friendly. Highly recommended!
Great idea and execution but only in one size
I really like this app. They’ve incorporated interactivity into their widget in a way that’s very effective and informative. Unfortunately there is only one size of the widget available and it doesn’t work with how I layout my phone and widgets. If and when they do update the widget size options, I’ll probably give it another look.
Very nice weather app
I just did the free trial to see how I like it, and to see if it can replace my beloved Carrot Weather as my go-to weather app. I decided I needed a bit more time with it, so I subscribed for an additional month. I found myself using it multiple times per day. I find the map-first approach to be unique and something I didn’t know I wanted until it was put in front of me.
My only two requests would be:
1. Offer other widget sizes. I would especially appreciate a 2x2 size
2. A lock-screen w
Exceptional widget support!
This app is truly all about the widget, both on the iPhone home screen and as a Watch complication. Hands down, best weather widget I've seen yet, and among the first to have any kind of interactivity. Nicely done!
The widget is currently available in just one size and can't yet be used on the iOS lock screen or Standby mode, but hopefully those are on the roadmap somewhere.
VERY nicely done!
This is the first app I’ve seen (of any type) that is widget-first, and the result is a first-class widget that just drips with quality and care. Happy to subscribe.
Good stuff only in widgets
I love the widgets, but I am puzzled as to why these great views are not available in the app itself. Am I missing something? The app on the iPad seems to only offer a map vie with a tiny info box, none of the great summary charts found in the widgets. The widgets are beautiful, informative at a glance, full of context. The main app has none of this.
At a minimum I would like to see the widgets themselves, with more room to breath, in the main app. For now, I will stick with Weather Strip, whic
Weather forecasts
No better, no worse than other similar weather services. Generally not one to organize your plans based on information presented, especially temperature in. if you use this service regularly, you will note that updates may vary by as much as 15° over the span of one hour. however, as a ballpark estimate, including storm/rain belt tracking, this service is average.
See it all
Every town you care about - see all at once. With radar. what’s not to like.
5 Negative User Reviews for Weather Up plus AccuWeather Data
Unnecessary Bugs
The app crashes quite often and the watch app doesn’t work. It’s pretty buggy.
Good but not for me
I’ll give them credit for designing some beautiful widgets. I just cannot see myself paying 40 bucks annually to see the weather in style.
Disappointed - possibly abandoned?
Widget is blank often lately. Changing weather source occasionally will bring it back to life but usually not. Just saw that the last update was 4 months ago and, though it does mention working on solving problems with iOS 18, it’s unclear if development is ongoing or has been abandoned. 🤷🏻♂️
No Apple Watch Widgets
I was planning on subscribing after my 7 day trail, but I’m unable to setup any Apple Watch widgets.
$40 is way too much for missing features
Lacks many features its competitors have. Cartoonish interface not for me. Absolutely not worth $40
