I have been pushing what3words for a long time. I will no longer pus people to it. I understand the need to get paid but it’s too bad the new Pro version is $60 a year. Too rich for my blood, no lower $ tier, just free. They will get $0 from me unfortunately.
Like @Trista K. I find that the app won’t open on either my iPad or my iPhone. Useless. Support contacted me. Suggested deleting and reinstalling app. Now it works as expected.
I absolutely adore this app. I don’t use it very often, but it’s great when I need it. I just can’t justify the Pro price at $5 a month for an app I probably only use once every week or two. If it were $0.99 or even $1.99 a month, I’d subscribe in a heartbeat, but at $50 a year, it’s just not something I use enough to justify the cost.
As a first responder, this app is really useful.

This app shows me where I am and they let the cops now where I am too
En serio, yo diría que mejor que un gps para ubicarte. Buenísima idea!
I really like this app. I haven’t had to use it yet, but I believe it is the most worthwhile app on my iPhone. They have location dialed in. My son and his girlfriend just rented a place in Jefferson,NC and apparently it’s so far out the trash truck doesn’t go out that far. And they tell me it’s pitch dark at night. That got me thinking what if you need police or fire. Would they be able to find him. I’m hoping this app will do the trick. Something is better than nothing.
Somewhat confusing on setup of password.
I have just started to use this app
So much easier to use than sending Lat and Long!
I’ve just set up let you know more later
Great app to have in case of an emergency
How can I give a accurate review when all I’ve done is set it up I don’t even understand to yet?
Bye bye latitude and longitude
kowning my location during times when it is absolutly is very important. Under conditions where life and line are threathed.
Great idea but feel unsure about confidence
I set them on a word hunt lol
Good program; I enjoy it & will use it often.
I have not had the “what3words” service for more than a month. I have a situation on a busy thoroughfare and needed to call for a towing service. Because of “what3words” the towing service provider was able to pinpoint my location without my having to risk exiting my vehicle in the middle of ongoing traffic.
It’s amazing the way the system works I just click with my finger on the phone and immediately gave me the three words for my exact location this generates a immense benefit for all human beings to feel safe that will be located in case of getting lost or accident
There is no documentation that I can find on how to share my what3words location to a contact in iMessages using Siri.
I’m not sure how this app works or how to use the words!
Most interesting application I have seen in a long
I am so impressed with the depth of thought and the utter simplicity of this app. I would love to meet the creators and ask about their spirituality. Only by meditating and brainstorming would this have ever been possible. Triangulation has been around for centuries. This is space chess triangulation!!
Whomever thought up this app is a true genius
Excellent iPhone 12 App!
This seems to be a very cool application for getting directions.
Yeah this is a good idea.
This seams to me to be an important app that we should all have. It would be good to know your 3 word location especially when you need it. You need to check this out.
I can certainly see how this can be a lifesaver.
I always think when are we going to have an application that preciously show a location or allow us to share our location when we do not know or it does not have a door no or street name, here it is !!! Great work :)
I love this and I hate everything! Easy to use- genius. Get your kids to put this on their phone. For sure.
I found my house in all of 2 seconds. This App is impressive to say the least.
Thank you a Zillion times to whoever (the Genius) put this mind boggling application together!! I’m sure it will save just as many lives!!
I love this app! It is so precise! Makes me feel much more comfortable hiking in the wilderness.
Excellent! Winston H Griner Sr MD
i'm sitting in my kitchen and not moving but the location keeps changing?
Looking forward to see what this app can really do I’m intrigued hoping that it will be the next Waze better than Apple Maps better than Google maps
Pretty cool. The App needs the ability for Siri to access the information for voice commands like “Hey Siri, what’s my What3Words location?
I can click on one of the squares for my house and get a response that includes the words dizziness and dogs. THAT’S ME !!!!
I’m amazed at the accuracy of this, amazing!
3 Negative User Reviews for What3words: Navigation & Maps
They've pretty much ruined this app. It's now full of clutter and little lock icons to show the features that don't work unless you pay a lot every month for them. Classic en****ification.
Moving the Photo Mode to subscription mode is a strategic mistake. It’s how introduced many people to this unique and useful app, but it’s not worth paying $60 a year for. See ya, it was fun while it lasted
This app is amazing. However, it does NOT play nice with voiceover. This is a huge disservice to the blind and visually impaired community.
