Did what it needs to do

I'm traveling to Austria and needed to buy public transport tickets. I was able to register and buy 2, 7-day tickets for my spouse and I within 5 minutes using apple pay. The 72 hr and 7-day ticket is the same price so I'd just get that if you're here for 4.5 days or just 3+ days.

Tried this app for the first time. Works perfect! Thank you! In previous reviews the main complain was the need to create an account. In reality it was not a big deal. I purchased a 7 day rolling ticket (different from the Wochenkarte). It works just fine.

Useful

Very useful for finding transport from where you are now, but you have to use the “Route” button to find transport from other locations, not the “Explore” button. The app includes all the various modes in the city: tram, bus, subway, train. You can also buy tickets in the app.

Benachrichtigungen

Benachrichtigungen sind gut was die Auswahl der Linen betrifft, wenn aktiviert kommen die aber IMMER, 24 Stunden (auch wenn ich schlafe!). Man kann zwar die Zeit eingrenzen (Settings), aber man nicht einstellen das die Nachrichten nur dann kommen wenn die App offen (in Verwendung) ist. Man kann zwar alle Störungen anzeigen, aber die Auswahl der Linen (unter Benachrichtigungen eingestellt) greift dann auch nicht. Also habe ich die wieder abgestellt, man sitzt ja nicht 24/7 im Bus/Tram. Sonst gut

Too complicated for no reason

The issue that others brought up is still a problem. To buy a single use ticket (or any) there are 2 account sign ups, 2 confirmation emails, addresses and phone number adds etc. Then you choose ApplePay. Ridiculous. Simplify please! Just do app download and sign up with cell number, 1 text confirmation and then ApplePay or card. Done easy. Please fix this nonsense.

Doesn’t work when you need it

Code 100 errors often (so app won’t work) also the payment system is connected to another website that processes payments which often causes issues and doesn’t work. App needs help. WienMobil website states that if you are having trouble with your phone (the app) and can’t show your ticket on a train you can get fined €100 by an inspector and it’s your fault.
