6 Negative User Reviews for Winamp

Does not play queue unless the app is on-screen

No matter what I do, the app will not play the next song in the queue unless my screen is on and the player is on-screen I don’t know what kind of glitch this could be but tue app is unusable until it can be fixed. I love the og winamp, I was so excited to see it on iPhone but this is nothing like the winamp I remember and it doesn’t even function properly. Sad, really. Hopefully it will be fixed soon

Offline mode issues

This review is using only Offline mode Music media synced from iTunes. Long time first launch analyzing media data Fails to show various or multiple artists Fails to show any playlists Player window is too big for screen size Winamp Player not recognized as playing on iOS Some visible tabs not showing any data or some are shown even when turned off Layout music shows nothing except recent UI is difficult and confusing to use.

I expected something a kin to the PC version.. This app shouldn't exist 😬

Where is URL Stream Capability?

The desktop app allows you to add URLs of your own. VLC also also for URL streaming. This seems like a big oversight. The “Hotmix” options are lame and I’d like to connect to preexisting streams, not these goofy curated options.

Does not work

I use WinAmp on my Windows PC and it work great. However, this app has yet to work. It shows the music but does not play.

Before iTunes Music Store and the rise of subscription streaming radio, there were WinAMP and MacAMP music players and certain apps that could help you “obtain” music in very…dubious ways, you could say. Fast-forward to today, and WinAMP is a shell of its former self. Nowhere near as easy to use, and worthless for DRM-protected music on your phone. Might be worth it for the nostalgia or if you have a large collection of DRM-free music, but the built-in Music app is a better option. +1 for the
