WLOX Weather App Reviews

Love the WLOX weather team and rely on them for their updates. But this app does them no justice. The 24hr futurecast radar only goes 12 hours and freezes. This has been an issue for well over 6 months and it still hasn’t been fixed. When I messaged Eric Jeansonne about the issue, he said they have no control over the app. That’s pretty sad that the Chief Meteorologist has zero say in the quality of the weather app.

Excellent work and informative

Once you get into the weather headlines, you can’t get out of them without closing the app and reopening it.

The new radar update that happened at the end of 2025 is horrible. They should go back to the radar that they had before.

I love the app but lately future cast freezes up half way through.

Great coverage and the frequent updates were very helpful for us in Pass Christian, as well as the entire MS. Gulf coast, before, during, and after the storm. Especially the tornado warnings. Great job by the (obviously expanded) WLOX team. Thanks to your whole team for a job well done!

Excellent and has brought me back to your station great selection for chief meteorologist. He is doing a great job and hope he doesn’t get stolen by another station.

WLOX DOES A WONDERFUL JOB KEEPING PEOPLE UP TO DATE AND INFORMED. I use to live in that area. I now live in Gilf Breeze. Alan Strum is the name of the guy in charge of weather in my area of. FL. He is seriously lacking and I still have to rely on WLOX. He blew it with keeping us informed with hurricane SALLY. Your area is blessed to have great people.

Great app and I use every day and there seems to be some issues that could be improved for this app to be top shelf for locals. Lags and the radar seems to always stop about halfway.

Typically it seems WLOX Wx gives a report on a multi variety of situations and flys from one screen to another quickly. I would prefer basic wx report given time to digest it.Mabe schedule variety of reports at special times WLOX IS MAKING COMMENT EXTREMELY DIFFICULT My Knick name I’ve had since birth . I don’t have another. Do you want my comment?

Up to the minute with weather anywhere I travel

Allows checking severe weather conditions

I always rely on WLOX 13 for keeping me up to date on the weather. I can go on line anytime to see where storms are located and what is near my residence. The weather crew is excellent also.

The app is rather easy to use. My biggest complaint about it is the weather forecast videos just cut off and cycle to the next video seemingly halfway through the original video. It would be great if it actually finished the weather forecast video before the cycling to the next video.

Sometimes app fails to load Also, the radar fails to load when everything else works fine But overall an excellent product

WLOX app is used by all our family even my 96 year old mother!

The radar map has an overlay when opening that only moves out of the way when in motion. Also the ad at the bottom with the roach crawling is disgusting.
