Pay to get no ads, but to get through any level you have to watch them

I paid $4.99 to avoid ads, however I feel like half the time playing this game is spent watching ads! What is the deal with this?! If it can’t be rectified with either a refund or app update I will delete this game and avoid ALL games from ABI Games in the future.
