Worldpackers Travel the World App Reviews

The app is great so far. It is easy to look for opportunities by location. I got a reply and an invite within a week, but there is no way to edit messages or remove applications if you made a mistake. It would also be helpful to know if the messages have been read. It would also be great if users could search for opportunities with tags other than place names and type of volunteering such as: ski, sports, education, surfing, animals etc.

I absolutely love Worldpackers I am an 18-year-old solo traveler and has been working through Worldpackers for the last eight months and I have really enjoyed all of my work exchanges. Definitely recommend this app for any traveler.

It is wonderful having the opportunity to travel around the world and meeting incredible people

I had heard about work exchanges for a long time but last Friday I decided on a whim that I needed to finally travel while I still have the time. I applied to 8 and heard back from 5 in the same day and was approved for all 5 that got back to me. I am now confirmed for two exchanges in Vietnam and already booking flights. Both exchanges seem super safe and I’m communicating with the hosts right now as I book everything. This app makes everything so easy and it all happened too fast to overthink

I love to backpack and this app helped me make a bunch of dreams come true and is continuing to do so, if you are a traveler this can be one of the best apps you can ever download

This app/company is amazing! They do an incredible job of connecting willing and eager travelers with certified organizations and hostels to provide housing and other amenities in exchange for some form of agreed upon work. It is a great way to travel if you’re not afraid of doing things on the cheaper side along with being in a constant state of meeting and interacting with new and interesting people!

If it was life time payment would be better like cough-surfing but still looks interesting to me like a traveler! Thanks

I love everything about the app and opportunities it brings and the plans are so worth it. The only issue/bug I wish they’d fix in the app is I have favorited hosts that closed their position and I have no way to unfavorite it and it just takes up room.

This app is very easy to use and helps the aspiring world traveler to feel comfortable with applying for jobs and new experiences in new places :)

Then I can properly rate this app

My host asked me to leave after extending my stay and won’t change my end date, making it so I can’t accept another position. The reason I was asked to leave was very petty and I sent the screenshots as proof but WP has stopped responding to me completely, despite offering to help me out of the situation. I would not and will not recommend this site anymore, due to being ignored when I needed help the most.

Why cant I send a message to people that have volunteered at some place and left a review?

The app doesn’t load anything anymore so I can’t apply or look for destinations. My app is totally up to date and this has been happening for weeks now
