WSMV 4 FIRST ALERT Weather App Reviews

Way too many commercials people! You break in about a weather notice then make us set thru 2 commercials that we’ve seen a thousand times, hoping the weather won’t kill us before we can get thru the advertising to find out if the storm warning is worth listening to, should we seek shelter, not fun.

The app is good but it's not as accurate as the actual channel 4, the app told me storms would be over at this time, which is like an hour before the actual storm is done, and the actual news on the TV was way more accurate. But otherwise. The app is very good and was somewhat reliable, and definitely calmed my nerves during storms.

I have to dig through a lot of unrelated news stories and skin cream ads to find what I need now.

I get that cool ray probably paid a lot of money for their title sponsorship but do we need to show it every single time I open the app? wasted seconds especially when trying to find news about severe storms quickly and I have to wait for the ad/open screen to disappear.

The last 5 days show why any middle TN resident needs this service to be prepared for Tornadoes, flooding, rain and wind

I just LOVE my 4 First Alert Weather Team They were telling us about a Tornado Warning before the Weather Service System had given the Warning Always Awsome Always helpful and knowledgeable and informative

I got the app because I watch the WSMV 4 news channel There’s only one thing I don’t like about this app. Randomly there will be some map key or something like that and it will pop up and I don’t know how to get out of it so I just kill the app and reopen it But overall it’s good, easy to understand, and reliable.

Saved my life Twice.

App closes and jumps around making it harder to use or even want to now .

Went to setting to receive notifications for severe weather and tornado warnings. Gives me notifications for basically everything.

This is a great app. Timely alerts and radar that is actually current.

I’ve been living in Milwaukee for the last 10 months..I watch the WSMV weather and news app everyday ..Love it so much ..moving back to Nashville in 11 days thank u WSMV for getting me through homesick episodes..Don’t know what I would have done without it THANKS -Anthony O

I agree with WSMV having the most accurate weather reporting team in this market. Dan Thomas and Lisa Spencer both seem very knowledgeable in their profession. Don’t get a warm fuzzy feeling about any of the others. BTW, in my opinion there is nothing wrong with Lisa’s hair. She’s a very attractive middle aged lady and should wear her hair any way she darn well pleases.

Really enjoy the accurate weather information! As soon as there’s any changes WSMV4 Weather alerts me! Thank you for the this app!

It is the best app u can ever have

WSMV has THE BEST LOCAL radar and pinpoint accuracy for tracking storms in the Nashville area. Sadly, my app doesn't work. It's been corrupted and no updates for it on my device have been allowed for it since 2024. Big overlay issues... I think someone linked the app to the website and now it just doesn't behave correctly. Tried to reach out to Channel 4 directly, but to no avail. Been watching since I was a kid... and things like this make me miss Bill Hall and wish for simpler times.

I recently moved here from Cincinnati, Ohio. I found the WLWT app to be very user friendly and easy to navigate. I find the First alert 4 weather app not as user friendly. When trying to scroll down if you accidentally touch the wrong area on the page the page collapses into a list of 4 or 5 smaller boxes. Once there the only way I’ve found to get back to the main page is to close the app and reopen. Very annoying!
