XCOM 2 Collection App Reviews

Not sure what happened, if it was an update, but this game seems to be crashing more than usual, on my iPhone 16. Ive tried everything you can think of to possibly lower that chance but nothing seems to work. Devs really need to work on this. I love this game and have it on Mobile, PC and Playstation but its become unplayable on the go now.

I love XCOM. It’s one of the few games I have well over 1000 Steam hrs playing. Both 1 and 2. The mobile version is dream but it needs a performance update. Or just an update in general.

I’ve never written a review for apps. But I have this game on my switch, steam account and now iOS and they made this game lightning quick and the graphics are just as good as steam or my switch! There is one thing that I would add though. Mods so I can make my character look even cooler than it already is!

I really love how well this game ports over to mobile. Really great gameplay. Very intuitive and a TON of features. Only gripe is. I wish you could disable more of the DLCs. I really don’t like the WOTC units and wish I could disable everything involving them.

Needs controller support!

This is one of my favorite games but there is one thing that would help it. It just needs an update to allow you to choose to turn off the fatigue system. As a handheld game I like to be able to play it just a bit here and there but don’t like to have to wait a extra mission or two to use my A team that I enjoy. I know the system was added to change things up but just to have a short game once in a while be nice to be able to turn it off.

It took me about a month and a half and 4 campaigns to beat the game! I’m hoping there will be an XCOM 3. Plz plz plz!!!

It’s XCOM so of course it’s an amazing game, but it crashes 2-3 times every session I play. It shouldn’t be happening.

When you have kids, you don’t get the time in front of the TV that you would like. Having XCOM 2 on IOS solves this. It’s not only a near perfect port, it’s a near perfect game. Why are you still reading this? Push the button. It’s worth it. 1005 worth it.

i love this game i own it on my Xbox as well but i really wish there was pvp like on xbox.

The game is great but touch screen is never a good idea. Please update the game with MFi controller support ASAP for an optimal gaming experience.

Probably my favorite game on mobile. No IAP. Not a freemium game. Not a free to play. Not a pay to win game. Port to mobile is perfect! Awesome collection. Thank you so much!

This by far the most snappy quickest best frames of all. Can literally play 300% quicker than console. Loading is instant. Yes it’s crashes, when the moon is purple.

Awesome game but needs Backbone support (controller)

If you don’t own this game, don’t complain about the shallow games that be in the App store. This is a must have, a legend!

I bought the game on iOS because I love the game on ps4 but I could use help with it not loading when I try to enter the game

Touch controls are implemented well. This is a faithful port of the XCOM 2 experience. Here’s hoping they bring chimera squad to iOS as well. Battery draw is significant on high graphics settings, as expected for an intensive 3D game.

Loved XCOM for many year. Great to have another version on my iPad Pro. For the most part it is ported well but you need to tweak the buttons. When trying to equip soldiers you have to tap all around them multiple times before it accepts it

I have this game on every platform imaginable. The portable version is my favorite. I was highly disappointed to find that it is not compatible with my new 5th gen iPad. Hopefully that will change soon and I can change this to a five star review

Very pleased to be able to play through this game. Works fine without, but it’s even more playable with a keyboard and apple pencil.

Full fledged X-Com 2 with WotC addon on your iPhone. Yeah, controls can get clunky, I wish devs would add xbox controller support. Other than that, this is a fantastic port, must have for all XCom fans.

I really enjoy the game but I have to save constantly. Which gets old fast. Save at start of mission then at the midway point then just before the end of mission. Save again at base.

Only thing missing is the Legacy pack, which I suppose is never coming out for anything but PC.

Excellent game and I’ve been a big long time XCOM fan. The game crashes frequently on my generation 9 iPad which is a little annoying requiring reloading a recent saved game. Doesn’t make me not love the game though.

Love the XCOM series. And if you’ve been a fan of previous PC versions you’ll love this.

The title pretty much says it all. It doesn’t get better than this.

I’m a huge XCOM fan. Was excited to download and play this on my iPad. Unfortunately it crashes frequently. It’s almost unplayable. I gave it 3 stars only because it’s XCOM. It would’ve been 1 if it was a different game.

It’s the full game minus mod support. Everything else is there. Amazing. Also, I picked up civ 6 and it’s just amazing how far we’ve come, technologically.

Overall great game. I took one star just because they chose to lock the screen orientation for some reason.

This game is excellent worth every penny and recommend it to all.

My friends were telling the truth. This is the definitive XCOM experience — all the dazzle, none of the lag, and in a polished portable package.

XCOM is awesome. Clearly and unequivocally. With that said, XCOM 2 Collection feels short changed. They just didn’t follow through. If you haven’t played XCOM, then go get XCOM. If you’re looking for an extension of XCOM, then get XCOM 2.

This game is so fun and addicting that time flys when your playing.. can be a bit difficult at times but it is awesome

Seems to have a problem with the levels. Every time I try to run up stairs to a rooftop extraction point can’t go up. The game shows the second level clear so you can’t ‘see’ it. Any ideas? Is there a patch?

This is truly a triple-A title brought to iOS. I’d love to give it five stars but it’s plagued by way too many crashes. I hope Feral can improve the stability.

I've played the game on ps4 and was excited to see a mobile port. It runs beautifully on my iPhone SE! Love it! Now I can play the game anywhere I go! 😁

Just beat it after playing HEAVILY for a month. Highly recommend, worth the money. This is a full great game, not another lame mobile money pit. It is challenging, but fun!

I love XCOM 2, have played through multiple campaigns on my Xbox. Bought the mobile version as I was traveling. The first 3-4 days were great as it plays exactly like the Xbox version but then around day 6-7 it started constantly crashing. I have to constantly restart missions, redo actions, and the game has genuinely become unplayable. I am writing this review after having 7 crashes in a row while trying to start a mission. On my last 40-50 times playing it has crashed around 35-40 times. While
