great!

this app is great at what it does: simple, fast, and easy... everyone else is bloated, ugly and cumbersome!

The best crosswind app in the App Store

I can’t believe this app is free. Hands down the best looking and most intuitive crosswind app for iOS.

Great tool to have in the airplane

It took a couple tries to figure out all of the subtleties of this app. But it works extremely well, it is a wonderful tool to have in the airplane for arriving at any airport after receiving the ATIS OR ASOS.

Just right visual calculator for wind

This is simple to use, easy to read, accurate and best of all: reliable. This can actual help you in the cockpit for approach planning. Great work on this app. Highly recommended.

Great crosswind tool for the flight deck

Simple to use. After you set the limits of your aircraft there is no typing required. Setting the runway orientation, wind direction and velocity can be done in seconds. Additionally if you set your aircraft limits it will alert you when the winds are out of limits. Great, simple tool.

XWind

When I figured how to use it I liked the simplicity of it. It gives you a quick and easy way to get your crosswinds component.

best app for pro use

It takes a few moments to get used to setting variables, but in a turbulent environment this may be the best interface available. Feature request : 3 customisable buttons to quickly set limits ( with valuables set on settings page). Eg: 30, 25, 17, for the different runway condition codes of the applicable aircraft type. Alternatively these could be different colored concentric rings inside the red limit ring already available.

Great app, poor instructions

Just rewrite the instructions so it’s more clear how to use

Great App

Easy to use. It shows variable wind speeds above and beyond your setting, which is very helpful. It also remembers your settings. Great app.

Good quick reference

Incorporating gust factors would be appreciated, gusty winds are when I use the app.

Just what the title says

Excellent, works well at what it says it does. Good interface, easy to read, would recommend.

Difficult to Understand

I understand how to set the Rwy heading but that’s about it. Not intuitive.

No labels

It works fine, but the numbers are completely unlabeled and are ambiguous. I have to relearn what all the numbers mean each time and I think it could be a safety hazard if someone misinterprets the data.
