Yahoo Sports: Scores and News App Reviews

The app is probably the best sports app out there, but one annoyance is that the logos sometimes have the wrong colors and blend into the background.

Bugs and lacking all sports and live features . Still a cool app when it works and the scores are showing

In like the app but the nonstop notifications finally drove me crazy. Why am I getting notifications every hour when I have all of them turned off? Uninstalled

Update: thanks for putting My Scores back at the top of the Home tab! Original: It used to be that the My Scores section was at the top of the Home tab (it’s even still like that in the marketing screenshot on the App Store listing). Now I have to scroll past 4 screens of other junk (irrelevant news and ads) to get to My Scores. You can set the app to open to the Scores tab instead where there’s another My Scores section that’s at least at the top, but on the Scores tab My Scores is missing the

Bring back the old push notification tone. That “chime” sound.

My bad! Disregard the title. I slammed Yahoo Sports because I didn’t have my facts straight! I missed the fact that MLB had the Padres and Dodgers play two regular season games during the preseason followed by more preseason games. (I did not know the Korea Series was to be considered Regular Season.) My apologies to Yahoo Sports for blaming the gate keepers for the app.

Love this app. Sure would love for women’s college software were added. It’s getting much more popular.

I love this app and have been using it for years. However today it keeps crashing, and I don’t know why. I’ve turned my phone off and then back on. I’ve also checked for any updates and I’m good to go there as well. Hopefully this will stop happening soon.

In my personal opinion the print needs to be a little bit bigger but other than that it’s a great app

I love this app! Unfortunately, it randomly stopped displaying scores and upcoming games so if that could be fixed it’d be great

I wish this app included all hockey leagues and ncaa baseball. I am still using multiple apps and yahoo should have it all in one.

Would love to be able to re-rank my feed to make it personal to me. I'm unable to do that now and I get a bunch of sports and leagues that are ranked above the ones I actually follow

The fonts are too hard to read in the redesign. Need to make them bigger and bolder. The font is too small. Otherwise the best sports app out there.

Amazing app, but please restore career statistics for college football players; it currently only shows last year’s stats. I like the new update, but think the logo and font should be a little bigger. Thank you.

Bring the tweets back

Overall it’s pretty good except for the stats part. On multiple occasions, the records for my teams are wrong. Also, for Mexico national soccer team profile, it shows on the home page their next game but when I click schedule and it doesn’t show the game. That might be a bug maybe but this app definitely has some work to do especially with the national teams profiles.

Happens periodically- a league or sport notification is turned on automatically. Please stop. Edit: no more career stats. It went from full career to recent career to now only 1 year. Really unfortunate.

Comments have been made…and apparently ignored…about the lack of scores for LIV golf. Is it going to be added?

There’s a “recent career” section on player cards I liked to look at for college basketball. Now, it only shows this season’s stats instead of year by year stats. There’s no way to see stats from previous years anymore. I’ve been using this app for years after switching from ESPN because they took tons of functionality away. 4 stars because it’s still better than other sports apps.

You used to be able to look at a player stats from his entire career but now it just goes to the season he played you guys should switch it back much better that way

Best of a bunch of mediocre sports score apps. Some issues include no full stats while a game is ongoing, some play by play missing, sometimes games freeze or get hung up. Like the layout of the scores.

This wasn’t t a problem until recently. Scores/play-by-play is behind constantly. I’ll go to the Tweets tab and see an update (like a touchdown, for example) but the play thread is multiple plays behind. Refreshing doesn’t help.

Many of us with newer iPhones and using iOS 16 are seeing this. I hope Yahoo will fix this soon.

I just deleted the app now that live NFL games are no longer a thing. Other than that, the app was great.

I Really like this app when I watch Football games in 2020 But in 2022 I can’t watch Any games I don’t know if I have to pay or something but I can’t watch any games

This last update was awful. Teams no longer show their record on the season at a glance and have to go to standings and the NFL has just helmets instead of team logos. Please switch back-

What is the best sports appoint there

Every time I start the app a window comes up said there is a problem in downloading and to send feedback. This is been going on for about four months. And I’ve uploaded the new version. This is getting really annoying

Like the app overall, but the widget redesign is the worst. Just a terrible widget that gives less info than the old one. Just give me more info and stop trying to make it pretty!

This app beats ESPN on every angle… except that it is about as close to useless as you can get when it comes to MLS or US Soccer.

App is not working anymore. Screen goes black when I open app. Update- app is now working perfectly again.

This app is really one of the best streaming apps out there because for one you can watch football for free and for two all of your favorite sports in one easy layout

This app SAVED my football experience for this weekend. The trash app Paramount+ crashed so many times I had to use yahoo to stream. Thank god. This is a great app otherwise as well.

Every time you scroll through the app you hit multiple ads and it redirects you. Very annoying.

You’d think that because the NFL pays no taxes, that it might be cheap to watch. Yet the cable company charges you as though they delivered it on a gold-plated DVD. Watch it on this great app for free. Panem et circenses!

Latest update fixes widget, hopefully stays fixed now. Otherwise I am happy with the app.

This app used to have a unique sound for it's game alerts. Now about two updates ago it disappearred and it just makes the default iPhone notification sound. Please bring it back!

Section on Major League Soccer is not accurate. Schedule not accurate, table shows all zeros for all teams.

For every matchup, each notification uses a single unchanging heading that is worded in a way that makes it always seem as if the game is just beginning - including those containing the final score. This is both misleading and disorienting. Why not just use a simple, straightforward heading that displays the names of the two teams playing each other? After all, the point of notifications is to convey informat
