Instant Favorite—”Year Walk” is Fantastic.

This is a stylistic, smart, beautifully designed horror game that delves deep into Swedish mythology. My only nitpick is that the game is too short, thus when you’ve gotten the hang of the puzzles and chosen to “walk again,” “Year Walk” is easy to solve a second time and, thus, the gameplay is quicker. But these are probably the best $4 I’ve spent in the App Store. This game deserves a larger following and all the purchases it can. Its premise is original, the controls are smooth, the illustrati

I Have Returned

I played this game years ago when it was first released, and just the other day thought about it though I couldn’t remember what it was called! I searched through hundreds of my old apps that I had downloaded on the past and FINALLY found it. I vaguely remembered the game and actually couldn’t remember how to solve any if the puzzles at all, which was a good thing in that it allowed me to play through the game again while having to really think! I loved it just as much the second time I played t

This game consoles me whenever I play it.

Migraine Inducer

I’m not one to usually get motion sick playing games, but the constant wavering and flickering light had me taking breaks. The companion journal also doesn’t work on my iPad (it won’t scroll or allow me to enter a code). Other than that the artwork and atmosphere is good, and puzzles are fun enough.

Nice and creepy

So I enjoyed this game a lot, there’s not a lot of dark atmospheric phone games and it delivered in that sense. If I had a criticism it would probably be that it was pretty short/not a whole lot of play time. I spent most of my time with this game stuck on figuring out puzzles, when I did get what I was supposed to do they were really quick and easy to complete, and there weren’t that many. I really enjoyed the story, and how it came full circle, but there’s a pretty big trigger warning needed

Wow

I never leave reviews on games. Because I never care much to. But I can genuinely say this game has impacted me so much since I’d first gotten it in 2018. It’s impacted so much of my art and I will always keep coming back to it. Thank you for making this game.

Confusing for the sake of it

C’mon. This game is a back-and-forth nightmare with frustrating controls. It got three for being an interesting story but it boils down to retreading territory over and over again in a way that puts JRPGs to shame.

Amazing and touching

Make sure you get to the true ending

👍

Amazing! The combination of horror and mystery made the game all the better, and the puzzles were enjoyable, to say the least. I WOULD give this game a 5/5 star. The only problem I have... Is the length. The length of the game is definitely NOT worth $4. Other then that, good job!

Sound not working on iPhone SE

Interesting game and gorgeous aesthetic, but it’s not working right.

No sound

Love this game but it won’t play sound on my phone at all. Please patch it!
