This is the only iPod chess game I've played that can simulate a human opponent well. The engine seems strong enough. I've got no chance at the top difficulty levels, and I've been playing regularly for 10 years. The graphics are nice and clean, and the menus are well-structured. The only thing I'm missing is an ELO rating function. Still, it's a solid five star app in my book.

It is hard to believe that an iPhone based chess program could be so extensive and complete with hardcore functions. It suits truly just about anyone with a chess interest, for playing friends or the human-like artificial intelligence. The interface is optimized, beautiful and pleasant. The definite chess program.
Only minor things missing I can think of is lacking the ability to see captured pieces (upcoming feature in next update) and the ability to flip the board when editing positions.
