★★★☆☆Good, but too much locked behind premium subscription
After shelling out for the pro version it is a bit disappointing to see so much behind a subscription costing about as much as the app itself per year. For instance, the “exclusive content” feels like it could be included in Pro. As I believe it was in the days before Premium existed.
★★★★☆Golden app with very minor issues
Great app. A few issues I experienced:
- Gimbal lock in zenith and nadir with quirky movement.
- Can’t continue in AR mode after selecting a star, would like to remain in AR mode until zooming or pushing information button.
- Review screen in app is dark mode. Review title is white text but review body text is black.

This is a real professional astronomical application. If you have a telescope this is the real deal.
For only observation by the phone i highly recommend reading the tips and be familiar with interface and all basic settings, a little higher learning curve than the others. Don’t enable full magnitude and enable all settings at once, try each settings and watch how it looks like is my advice.
