★★★★★Complete and Neat
I used Amaroq for quite some time but it started crashing on me so I was forced to change app. I tried several others before this one and they either lacked things, like looking at the federated timeline, missing multiple account support or assumed the order the toots were read in the timeline and thus causing jumps when loading folded toots. When I found this app I stopped looking. This has everything I need in a neat package. Everything is accessible from a single interface and it looks nice a
★★★★★Excellent mastodon client
I've only spent about 15 minutes in the app so far but I love it. It's very polished and everything is smooth as butter, no lag/stutter like I've experienced in other clients.
One complaint is the background animation on favorited/boosted toots, the line that scrolls from right to left. It's very distracting, to the point I have to scroll it out of view to be able to read the next toot. I would love to see an option for reduced motion or similar in the app.
★★★☆☆Eye candy but slow & weird UX
Everything in this app is animated (too much). Not sure if that’s the reason but on a 2020 iPad Pro it’s incredibly slow at times. Like, periodically it has seconds of lag when scrolling. Also can’t understand why all message buttons are just text instead of, for example, different colored symbols (also generally buttons not looking like buttons is poor UX).
