This must be the best Python coding app on the store. It not only comes with a substantial set of libraries, but also its own UI toolkit to build front ends fairly easily. It's one of the reasons to buy an iPad or iPhone to code on the go. Long live Pythonista!

One of the best apps I‘ve ever used. However, coloring of the match/case statement would be nice, and an update to Python 3.13 (app is currently on 3.10). I especially like the iOS UI module. However, the biggest flaw is that iCloud synchronization does not work.

Thanks to the developer for this awesome App. I realy appreciate using the App on my iPad. I was already able to learn a lot about Python. I would definitely recommend the App to everyone who wants to use Python on the iPad.

Zum Python lernen bestimmt gut geeignet. Für meinen Kurs in Kryptographie fehlt mir das Modul Pycryptodome, vielleicht kommt das ja noch…

Welches mir ermöglicht einen Code zu schreiben, der Abweichungen von Allzeithoch von Wertpapieren prozentual berechnet und Signale via SMS sendet, wenn ein Wertpapier kaufen oder verkaufen soll. Daher wird eine permanente Beobachtung des Marktes obsolet!

Fan of the App, just want to report, that the iCloud sync between devices is not working. No file is available on a different device, just the empty folders are available on other iOS devices.

A pity this App still does NOT SYNC properly between iPhone and IPad !

The title says it all. I have not found an editor better suited for python for my iPad. Generally if you try to find good editors for programming on iPad you’ll find a lot of bad apps, however this one was worth the money I have spent. It’s stable, you can customize your theme pretty extensively and its great for learning to code python.

I love it. Have been tinkering around with it for a while now and I discover more and more the powerful functionality. Basically you can write IOS Apps for Yourself in Python, with powerful libraries supporting you.

Funktioniert perfekt. Lerne, bzw. frische meine Python-Kenntnisse auf. Mit der App im Sessel sitzen, auf dem Sofa liegen, Python-Buch lesen und nebenbei den Code ausprobieren, verändern spielen, funktioniert einwandfrei. Auch ohne Bluetooth-Tastatur. Sehr durchdacht mit geteiltem Bildschirm für Code und Console und den Schnellzugriff in der Leiste für die vorgeschlagenen Python-Funktionen. Sicher eignet sich die App für mehr - denke aber, dass macht man besser auf einem großen Bildschirm. Alles

Ich würde mir eine deutsche Lokalisierung wünschen und eine aktuellere Python-Version. Vielleicht kann sich der Entwickler dazu durchringen. Ach und eine Funktion, dem Entwickler einen Kaffee/ein Eis auszugeben (oder viele) wäre auch schön.

This app is perfect the only thing i would change is, that i can use the widgets on my home screen. I also don’t understand how i am ment do do an icon script on my Home Screen. Bit it’s worth the money.

App ist super und hat auch sehr viel leistung. Es gibt auch sehr viele hervorragende beispiele an denen man dich orientieren kann. Nur würde ich mir mehr funktionen wie noch mehr hashs oder eine 3D Grafik wünschen. Sonst ist alles super

I´m so grateful for the programmers to put this app into the AppStore. Was looking for a way I could start programming on my IPad even outdoors or the way home. Totally worth every penny.

Hello, I need this Programm for my university. Is there an option to import new extensions, like pandas ?

Schon beim ersten Test auf ein Problem gestoßen. Die Python 3.6 Library, Turtle Graphics kennt die shape Methode nicht. Wenn die Implementierung unvollständig ist, was zu vermuten ist, verliert die App an Wert.

Bin schon viele Jahre begeistert von Pythonista. Zahlreiche Python Module stehen zur Verfügung und die App wird weiterentwickelt. Highlights für mich sind die grafische Oberfläche und die Möglichkeit die ObjC API anzusprechen.

Tolles Programm. Auch für Anfänger sehr gut geeignet.

Die Bedienung ist intuitiv. Die Funktionalität für mich bisher völlig ausreichend. Pythonista 3 startet sehr schnell auf meinem iPad 9,7“ 2018. Auch auf dem iPhone 7 läuft es für mich sehr schnell und zuverlässig.

Ich finde diese App super. Sie erweitert meine iOS Geräte um die Möglichkeit „Apps“ in Python zu programmieren und auch zu verwenden. Super!!

The maximum you can do is to run simple small Python scripts. If you have a larger project with own local packages, it becomes very hard to get it running. For example you cannot set a PYTHONPATH were all your local modules are stored, or a working directory from which your scripts and unit tests are started to find local packages. Last update was 2 years ago, reported issues are left without an answer, it‘s pretty much cashing in on something built long ago and working only because iPadOS maintains backwards compatibility well.

Habe die App gerade gekauft, weil sie angeblich V3.10 ist. Musste aber feststellen, dass sie weder den Walross Operator noch den „Inchworm on the stick“ Operator beherrscht. Beide sind seit V3.8 Standard.

Ich nutze Pythonista seit etwa einem Jahr. Anfangs war ich vollständig überzeugt, aber wenn man tiefer in Python einsteigen will, stellt man fest, es fehlen einfach einige wichtige Libarys die man auch nicht nachinstallieren kann. Schade!!!
