The Atlantic Magazine App-Rezensionen

This app is not only very well designed, but a real pleasure to open daily. The 'Today' selection is always presented in a thoughtful, timely and concise manner. Plus, being greeted with "Still awake?" when opening the app at 3am on a sleepless night is one the things that make the whole experience warm and pleasant.

I love the design of the app and the quality of your articeles. But what is an essential part for usability of an app that is designed for 'reading wherever you want' is missing: a sync feature. It’s simply beyond my understanding why I should not be able to read an article on my iPad that I have saved when it popped up as a notification on my iPhone. I prefer reading on a bigger screen. And syncing articles across devices, since I am logged in with my account there anyway shouldn’t be an issue

This is hands down the best political magazine around. Fantastic contributions from stellar writers like Anne Applebaum, David Frum, Tom Nichols, and Jeffrey Goldberg. I love the fact that the app does not have a comment section as I am getting sick and tired of everybody having to give their opinion on everything nowadays. The Atlantic focuses purely on the content and let’s the reader read, absorb, and contemplate.

I looking around and starting to find my way about. I like what I’ve seen up to now.

The app looks and feels nice, but why is there no search functionality?! I frequently like to re-read an old article I remember by name, or read an article suggested by someone else. This is basically impossible with this app.

The new version has changed the layout of the article page on my device (ipad mini 2021). There is *no* left and right margin to the article text. This makes for an unpleasant reading experience. This is unfortunate, as I did quite enjoy the layout of the text in previous versions of the app. Furthermore the navigation bar at the bottom is oversized and looks out of place. The app still misses out on one basic feature. Saved articles do not sync across devices.

Everyday I need to sign in again. Please fix
