I was in New Zealand in 2007 when I was introduced to Kayak. As the industries evolved Kayak has had some short comings and some remain across all the suppliers not really sorting out bad providers. I use Kayak often in my work and would not give 5 stars if I had found any other Travel Search engine that was better

You could specify whether you had carry-on and how much checked luggage and kayak would tell you the total price for all the available alternatives, including taxes and luggage. It was very easy to compare flights at different times and with different airlines. Now, the total price is wrong in some cases completely ignoring the cost of luggage. You can still filter flights based on many different criteria, but you have to carefully examine each Alternative by hand to figure out what the price wi
